The Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre is a Municipal partnership between the Town of Petawawa, City of Pembroke, Township of Laurentian Valley (the host community), and Township of North Algona Wilberforce. OVWRC opened in 2002 adjacent to the existing landfill site which has been operational since 1977. OVWRC provides waste processing services for the partner Municipalities as well as other Communities throughout Renfrew County.
