Marine Agency Corp was founded in 1922 and was then located in New York City. At that time, we only offered "marine" coverages (ocean cargo, shipping, and the like). Following the Great Depression, it became necessary to diversify our product offerings and began writing policies for all types of businesses. An early success was in coverage for barber shops and beauty salons. Our then President, Darryl C Stevens, joined the agency in 1975.
