LAMPLIGHTER CORNER

Lamplighter Corner was established in 1967 when Hollis W. Fisher made the first reproduction of the Edgartown street lamp . This lamp was one of several historic models that had lighted the town between 1869 and 1912... Becoming interested in lighting early on, Billy Hoff began building his first makeshift light fixtures while in his teens. After receiving a BFA from Ithaca College and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Billy moved to NYC, where he worked for a lamp designer creating prototypes. Before taking over Lamplighter, Billy worked closely with its owners, Tim Rush and Tom Fisher, learning to tinsmith. In 2005 Billy moved the business up island to West Tisbury where he lives with his wife and their two daughters...
