Alyson joined the Let's Go! team in 2024 to support the expansion of Intensive Health Behavior Lifestyle Treatment programs throughout MaineHealth. She enjoys supporting families with lifestyle changes, goal setting, and learning lifelong skills for wellness. She loves learning from each family in the program and the relationships that are built. Alyson is also a behavioral health clinician who has practiced in primary care settings for many years. Alyson enjoys spending her summers by the lake, winters on the snowmobile trails, and taking nature walks all year round with her husband and two dogs..
Dr. Powell is the Med-Peds Clinic Director extraordinaire for the resident clinic where she precepts residents as well as sees her own patients at the MHMMC Internal Medicine-Pediatric Clinic. She moved to Maine in 2014 after completing medical school at Chicago Medical School, and her Med-Peds residency training at Rush University Medical Center. She is involved in many QI projects related, not only to the resident clinic, but to primary care throughout MaineHealth. Amanda helps remind everyone about self-care through resiliency tips in the weekly clinic email updates and recruits interested residents to run with her in 5K races and sometimes even a half marathon.

Amanda Rand is President and CEO of Spinnaker Trust, a Portland based Wealth Management Firm. In her role at Spinnaker, Amanda oversees all aspects of the client experience, team development and strategic direction of the firm. More directly, Amanda works with clients to solve complex and often multi-generational financial, trust and gifting challenges.
Prior to joining Spinnaker in 2008, Amanda worked as a Trusts & Estates lawyer, focusing her practice on complex estate planning and trust and estate administration at firms in both Boston and Portland. She is active in the community, serving as a Director for the Welch Fund at the Maine Community Foundation, a Corporator at MaineHealth and a Director of the Alfond Scholarship Foundation.
She received her bachelor's degree from Duke University and her juris doctorate from Harvard Law School.
A native of Falmouth, Amanda lives there with her husband, Mark, and their three children.

Andreas Thyssen, MD is a combined Adult and Pediatric Hospitalist here at MHMMC. After medical school at University of Colorado, he completed his residency here at MHMMC where he served as chief resident for Med-Peds. He has an interest in lifestyle medicine. Dr. Thyssen serves as a resident advisor and residency applicant interviewer.

Ann Bresnahan served as a member of the MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital Board from 2004-2013 on the following committees: finance, community relations, governance, investment, and development. She has been a member of the Pen Bay Waldo Healthcare Foundation since 2013 and co-chaired their most recent capital campaign, which raised $21.5 M for the Charlotte and Christopher Beebe Health Center (primary care and pediatrics) and renovations to the Emergency Department in Rockland, ME. Over the past 30 years, Ann has been involved as a donor and volunteer in multiple campaigns at the hospital, including the building of the Sussman House for hospice patients, a new ambulatory care center, and the transformation of Knox Hospital into a long-term care facility. Ann currently serves as chair of the Community Health Improvement Committee and Chair of the Development Committee on the Coastal Health Alliance Board. She follows the precedent set by her parents, who generously contributed to the original construction of MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital in the 1970s.
Ann is a founding member of Partners for Enrichment, a nonprofit organization providing arts and science programs to local schools. She recently retired from the Camden National Corporation Board, where she proudly served for 33 years.
Ann resides with her husband, Rick Bresnahan, in Hope, Maine, where they have lived for the past 44 years. They have three children, also in Maine, and just welcomed their fifth grandchild

Ashley is a Program Manager for the Let's Go! Implementation Team who provides technical assistance to partners statewide while also coordinates program and resource development. After spending a decade working in public health field, Ashley has gained a tremendous amount of experience to effectively support communities in adopting environmental and policy level change, along with a deep understanding of the Let's Go! program. Ashley is a trained facilitator, presenter and holds a BA in sociology and minor in holistic health from the University of Southern Maine. She lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, daughter and son and studies West African drum and dance in her free time.

I joined MaineHealth Medical Group as practice manager in 2006. I have worked in both adult and pediatric specialty care practices. My role was operational, working closely with patients, providers, staff and other MaineHealth practices and teams to meet the health care needs of patients in Maine and Northern NH.
Ben Felix, MD serves as a Med-Peds Resident Clinic preceptor, Director of International Clinic at MHMMC, and primary care provider in the IM Ambulatory Clinic at MHMMC. Ben completed his Med-Peds residency at Brown University in 2014 and medical school at Indiana University. Before coming to MHMMC Ben spent time working with pediatric cancer survivors.

Brett Loffredo, MD, is a primary care physician for MaineHealth Primary Care - Family Medicine - Saco.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Loffredo has been affiliated with MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland and MaineHealth Primary Care since starting his family medicine residency at MHMMC in 2004, after completing his medical degree at Boston University. Since that time, he has pursued leadership roles within the organization, serving as the Chief Resident of Family Medicine in 2007 before becoming the Medical Director of MaineHealth Family Medicine Gorham, and then MaineHealth Primary Care Westbrook. He now serves as the Medical Director of Physician Financial Sustainability Initiatives for the MaineHealth Medical Group.
Dr. Loffredo completed his MaineHealth Physician Leadership Development Fellowship in 2011 and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Massachusetts. He has been an active member of the MaineHealth Medical Group Board of Trustees, including serving as Vice-Chairman, and as a member of the Executive, Operations, and Finance Committees. He also sits on the Planning and Programming and Finance Committees of the MHMMC Board.
Brian Noyes serves as Vice President and Shareholder of R.M. Davis, Inc. Brian has a long and distinguished history in financial planning and investment management. He has earned numerous professional distinctions, including a designation of Certified Investment Management Consultant in 1988, Chartered Financial Analyst in 1993, and Chartered Investment Counselor in 1996.
He was educated at Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield, Mass., then went on to earn bachelor of science degrees in Business Administration and Communications from the University of New Hampshire.
He is a member of numerous investment organizations such as the Maine Security Analysts Society and the Boston Security Analyst Society. His other board affiliations include the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, where he is serving as Chair, and the Baxter State Park Investment Committee, which he also chairs.

Carol Hubbard, MD is a developmental specialist in the MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care Portland - Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She has been at MHMMC since 2000. She plays an integral role in the developmental/behavioral rotations and is a Med-Peds residency candidate interviewer. Dr. Hubbard received her M.D. degree at the University of North Carolina and completed her residency training in the Harvard Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Program. She completed her Fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston University.

Carrie officially joined the Let's Go staff in 2018, but has been associated with the program and the mission for many years, as a pediatrician at the MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Weight and Wellness program. Her passion for promoting the benefits of healthy food in the clinical setting lead her to change her clinical focus from Pediatric Nephrology to Childhood Obesity prevention and treatment. She has offered cooking programs for patients and medical learners for years, works to advance food security and increase awareness of the connections between nutritious food and health because of a heartfelt belief in the power of food in health and healing.

Christine Twining, MD joined MaineHealth Endocrinology and Diabetes - Scarborough, Maine in 2008, where she sees adult endocrinology patients. Dr. Twining is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her combined Internal Medicine-Pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. David James Kumaki, MD, is a former member of the medical staff at MaineHealth Stephens Hospital where he specialized in internal medicine. In the past, he simultaneously served as chair of both the MaineHealth Stephens Hospital Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) and the Maine PHO. Kumaki is a physician leader on MaineHealth's Shared Health Record project (SeHR) and a member of the SeHR executive committee. He is also chief medical information officer for MaineHealth Stephens Hospital. Previously on the staff at New Hampshire's Androscoggin Valley Hospital, his experience extends well beyond New England. Kumaki is a long-time member of the Wilderness Medical Society and Nepal Studies Association. His experience includes several positions in Kathmandu, Nepal as well as in Greater Boston, first as an intern and resident at Boston City Hospital, and later on the staff at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, New England Baptist Hospital and Symmes Hospital.

Dr. Dan Loiselle is the Chief Medical Officer of InterMed, where he has practiced internal medicine since 1998.
Dr. Loiselle grew up in Eddington, Maine. He completed undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, is a 1995 graduate of Dartmouth Medical School and did his residency at MMC before joining InterMed in 1998.
He provides general internist preventive medicine for adult patients and enjoys the longitudinal care of multiple family members and trying to improve the health of our patient population, as well as the lives of InterMed's providers and staff.
Dr. Loiselle chairs both InterMed's Information Technology Committee and its Quality Improvement Committee. He is a member of the InterMed Board of Directors, and sits on InterMed's Executive Committee, Department Chiefs, Finance Committee, Compliance Committee, and Workflow Committee, ASC Committee, Preventive Health Task Force and Quality Improvement Committee. He is also a member of the Maine Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
In his free time, Dr. Loiselle enjoys using his backyard smoker, and skiing at Sugarloaf.
Edward Fels, MD joined Rheumatology Associates in Portland in 2009 where our residents complete their Rheumatology rotation and is a faculty advisor for our program as well as a residency candidate interviewer. Dr. Fels completed a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship at Duke University after graduating from MaineHealth Maine Medical Center's Internal Medicine-Pediatric Residency Program in 2005.

Eliott Morgan, MD is an Adult Hospitalist here at MHMMC and a Pediatric Hospitalist at CMMC (Central Maine Medical Center). He completed medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University SOM in 2018 and went on to join the MHMMC Med-Peds residency where he served as chief resident. Outside the hospital, Eliott likes to hike, bike, surf, and ski with his wife and two young daughters. Eliott serves as a residency applicant interviewer.
Eliza Bullis, MD joined Adult Hospital Medicine at MHMMC in 2016 but has been spreading her pediatrics roots since she started. She now does Pediatric Primary Care 1 day a week and fills in per diem as a preceptor in Med-Peds resident clinic. Dr. Bullis also serves as the MS3 Clerkship Director for Internal Medicine and is quick to find the students most interested in Med-Peds. She is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and a chief resident year for Pediatrics at Yale University. She serves a Med-Peds resident advisor and interviews candidates for the residency program.

Erica Hidu, MD works in the Med-Peds Resident Clinic both as a primary care doctor and a preceptor. She completed her Med-Peds residency at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in 2021 and served as Pediatrics Chief Resident from 2021-2022. Dr. Hidu was born and raised in Maine and spends her free time outside, preferably anywhere near the ocean, with her family and dog.

Eugene Paluso, MD has practiced Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at MaineHealth Primary Care - Internal Medicine and Pediatrics - Windham since 1993. Jessie Schaumburg went to medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Med-Peds residency at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center. Jill Kerekes, MD joined MaineHealth Primary Care - Internal Medicine and Pediatrics - Windham in 2009. Kathy Coster has experience as a board member at both for-profit and nonprofit institutions. She currently is Chair of the Board of Gorham Savings Bank.
On the Board at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland since 2013, Kathy is Local Board Vice Chair and a member of the Finance, Quality and Safety and Credentials committees.
She has had a long affiliation with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, having served as President of the Board and co-chair of the $3 million Great Futures Campaign. Kathy has also held a number of roles as a volunteer for her alma mater, Dartmouth College, including representative to the Alumni Council and President of the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Maine. She is active in her church, as a past president of the Parish Council and a member of the Diocesan Review Board of the Diocese of Maine.
Professionally, Kathy worked as a commercial banker at institutions in New York, California, and Massachusetts. She and her husband Mike live in Falmouth and have three adult children.
Katherine Liu, MD came to MHMMC for residency after completing her medical school training at Medical College of Wisconsin. She joined the Adult Hospital Medicine group in 2016 and previously did pediatric hospital medicine. She is a resident advisor and interviews residency candidates. She has an interest in international health.
Kate Herlihy, MD is the current Medical Staff President and board member of MaineHealth Stephens Hospital. She is the Medical Director of Pediatrics for MaineHealth Pediatrics Norway. As a general pediatrician, she has worked with a team to set up a patient centered medical home for children in her area which provides for medical, dental and mental health needs. She plays an active role in educating pediatric residents from Maine Medical Center, having 2-5 residents per year. Kate is actively participating in the Tufts Medical School/MMC teaching program for Tufts medical students as well as teaching medical students from various other medical schools. She is director of the Oxford Hills School Based Health Center as well school physician for SAD 17. She has served on many hospital committees including Executive Committee, Pediatric Services Committee, Obstetrics/Perinatal Committee, Physician Recruitment Committee, Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Council, Strategic Planning and Finance Committees. She has served in MaineHealth system-wide boards and task forces.
Kate lives in Norway, Maine with her husband and has three college-aged children. She enjoys running, hiking, camping, skiing, kayaking, and teaching Zumba to community members.
After completing medical school at Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Diamond-Falk moved to Portland for her Med-Peds Residency training at MHMMC. Upon graduation from residency, she began working as a Hospitalist for both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at MHMMC and has been the Med-Peds Program director since 2014. She previously served on the MPPDA (Med-Peds Program Director Association) Executive Committee as Secretary and Treasurer and remains active in the national Med-Peds community. She is interested in global health locally (developing an Immigrant Health Elective with IM/Med-Peds residents as part of an education innovation grant and leads the Interpreter SIM event) and internationally (spends time in Rwanda at a teaching hospital in Kigali). When not working as a hospitalist or program director you might catch her at a gymnastics competition, hockey arena or building a fairy house on Mackworth Island as she keeps (very!) busy with her husband, 3 children and dog.
Kathryn Brouillette, MD graduated from the MHMMC Med-Peds residency program in 2015. She is a medical school graduate of McGill University who currently works as an Internal Medicine hospitalist at MHMMC and Pediatric Hospitalist at CMMC (Central Maine Medical Center). Dr. Brouillette is a faculty advisor for our program, a member of our Med-Peds Program Evaluation Committee, and a faculty interviewer.

L. Clinton Boothby, Esq. is the senior partner at Boothby Silver, LLC, a rural law firm with offices in Turner and Farmington. Clint is a 1980 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Agriculture and Resource Economics and a 1999 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. Clint practices in the areas of small business and corporate law, estate planning and business succession, family law, and real estate, both transactional and litigation. He is a member of Androscoggin, Oxford, Franklin and Maine Bar Associations. He has served as President of the Oxford County Trial Lawyers Association. He currently chairs the Franklin County Health Network, which includes MaineHealth Franklin Hospital. He is an occasional guest speaker at the law school. In the past, he served as facilitator for the RSU #73 regional planning committee, Chair of the MSAD #36 Board of Directors, Chair of the Livermore Board of Appeals and as a member of the Board of Directors of Farm Family Insurance Company. Before attending law school, Clint and his brother Rob managed the family farm which has been in continuous operation since 1849. He and his incredibly patient wife of 40 years, Susan, have two adult children and five grandchildren. Susan is a third-grade teacher.

Linda serves on the Board of Trustees of MaineHealth Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH. She chairs the Finance Committee and serves on the Governance Committee and the Executive Committee. Prior to her retirement, Linda held the positions of Assistant Vice President and Counsel at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, with responsibility for providing legal advice on private placement and mezzanine investments. Previous to that, she acted in a similar capacity as Senior Counsel at Cigna Corporation. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and a member of the American College of Investment Counsel.
Linda's community activities in Jackson, NH include chairing the Jackson Public Library Board of Trustees and membership in The Friends of the Jackson Public Library.
Lisa Beaule, MD has been a member of the MaineHealth system since 2006. She is currently the vice president of physician and advanced practice professional services for the southern region at MaineHealth. She has served in multiple leadership roles including medical director of MaineHealth Urology - South Portland, medical director of operative and peri-operative services at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, and chair of the MaineHealth Medical Group Board of Directors. She received a BA degree from Boston University, an MD degree from UVM College of Medicine, and an MBA degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

She is a member of the company's Investment Committee, is Chair of the Benefits Committee, is a member of the Retail Real Estate Committee that governs store selection/construction, and convenes the Corporate Real Estate Committee that oversees all corporate holdings. She currently serves on the Board of Maine Medical Center, is a member of United Way's Kenneth Jordan Higgins Scholarship Committee and was formerly on the non-profit Boards of Lift360 and Youth and Family Outreach. Marissa Nichols joined our program in 2022. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Chapman University. In 2018 she moved with her family from California to Maine and they have been living "the way life should be" ever since. When she isn't in the office you'll most likely find her in her garden, camping with her family, with her nose in a book, or enjoying one of the many amazing restaurants the Portland area has to offer.

Matthew Chin has years of experience in managing operations, food sourcing, finance, information technology and business analytics. He has also worked in international business marketing and project coaching. Currently, he serves as President of Yarmouth-based Harvesting Good, a wholly owned subsidiary of Good Shepherd Food Bank. He has also worked for Goodwill Industries of Northern New England.

Excited by the opportunity to return to her professional roots promoting healthy eating and active living, Meg joined the Let's Go! home office in 2018 after seven years of working in tobacco prevention and control. She is inspired by the simplicity of the 5-2-1-0 and Small Steps messages and behaviors and incorporates them into the daily life of her own family. As a life-long Mainer, Meg enjoys spending time outside of work with her family exploring all the state has to offer, particularly cycling throughout southern Maine and hiking & camping in the Rangeley Lakes region.

Melanie Murray, MD works at MaineHealth Primary Care - Internal Medicine and Pediatrics - Windham, where she practices primary care and works with residents during their community Med-Peds rotation. Dr. Murray completed her Internal Medicine-Pediatric Residency at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in 2007 after receiving her M.D. degree from Wright State University in Ohio.
Melissa Smith is the President and CEO of WEX, a global corporate payments company. A finance expert by training, Smith joined WEX in 1998 and played a pivotal role as WEX's chief financial officer, leading the company through a highly successful initial public offering and focusing on its growth as a public company. Her record of execution, continuous improvement, and increased responsibilities for WEX's business operations led to her appointment as president of the Americas, and ultimately as president and CEO of the entire company. As CEO, Smith has responsibility for the company's day-to-day global operations and its long-term strategic growth. She also serves as a WEX board member.
Smith is an active member of her community and was named The Girl Scouts of Maine's 2013 Woman of Distinction, and a Mainebiz 2012 Woman to Watch. Recognized as an industry leader, Melissa was named the PYMNTS.com 2014 Most Innovative Woman in Payments and a PaymentsSource 2014 Most Influential Woman in Payments. She serves on the Center for Grieving Children's Board of Directors and participates in the Executive Women's Forum, which she co-founded to provide a support network for female executives in her local community.

Morris Fisher is President, Boulos Asset Management. His experience includes real estate development, operations, leasing, and finance. In addition to providing strategic real estate advice to clients, he is responsible for directing a property management company with 50 employees and real estate projects under management totaling 5 million square feet of commercial space. His experience includes the development, marketing, leasing, and sale of major retail, office, and industrial properties in both downtown and suburban locations.
In addition to his service as an MHMMC Local Board member, Morris is a former officer and board member of The Park Danforth, Portland Public Library, Catholic Charities of Maine, and Portland's Downtown District. Prior to joining Boulos Asset Management, Morris was a senior accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Dr. Hasenfus attended the University of Maine at Orono and received a bachelor's in Psychology in 1971, a master's in Education in 1973 (Special Education-Learning Disabilities), a PhD in Psychology in 1979 and went on to earn her MD in 1981 from Tufts School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She was then a resident in Internal Medicine at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center from 1981 to 1984.
Dr. Hasenfus served as the Medical Director of MaineHealth Primary Care Internal Medicine Bath from 1997 to 2016. She was the Medical Director of Primary Care at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital from 2016 until she retired in 2017. She was affiliated with MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospitalfrom 1987 until her retirement. She served as President of the Medical Staff at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital from 2005 to 2007. She was a Board Member at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital for 10 years. She was a Clinical Assistant Professor for Tufts University School of Medicine from 2011 to 2017.
She was the Governor of the Maine Chapter of the American College of Physicians from May 2010 to May 2014. She became a Master of the American College of Physicians in October of 2017. She has served on the MaineHealth Behavioral Health at Spring Harbor Board of Trustees since 2007, serving as the Vice Chair of the MaineHealth Behavioral Health at Spring Harbor Board for one year and then Vice Chair of MaineHealth Behavioral Health for two years. She has been Chair of MaineHealth Behavioral Health since November 2016.
Dr. Hasenfus resides in Brunswick and is married to Dr. Robert Anderson. They have two daughters.

Nicole quickly became fascinated with 5210's mission by seeing it implemented in her own community. She holds a BS in Business Management with graduate studies in Nonprofit Management, Fitness Training and Nutrition. Nicole resides in Portland along with her husband, son and two bulldogs. A "foodie" at heart, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen and staying active with weight training, yoga, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Amann worked for 17 years in primary care/family medicine where he actively used the 5-2-1-0 messaging with his pediatric patients. He joined Let's Go in 2015 and helped to create the adult obesity program we call Let's Go! Small Steps. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and now practicing full time obesity medicine as part of a comprehensive management and treatment program in Portland, ME. He and his wife have four children and a dog who keep them very busy. He enjoys playing soccer, hiking, kayaking, skiing and working on the vegetable garden during our (short) summers in Maine.
Dr. Manning is board certified as an obstetrician/gynecologist with MaineHealth Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has worked for MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford/Sanford for 10 years. Prior to his job in Biddeford, he completed his residency at Maine Medical Center. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and Colby College.
He has served as the Maine Section Chair for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, has completed the MaineHealth Physician Leadership Development Fellowship, and serves on the MaineHealth Board Education Advisory Committee. Since 2012, Dr. Manning has served on the board of directors for MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford/Sanford Physician Services and currently serves as its president. He also is the Quality/Safety leader for MaineHealth Obstetrics and Gynecology and the secretary of the MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford/Sanford Local Board.
He lives in Kennebunk with his wife, Dr. Christina Manning (MaineHealth Pediatrics - Kennebunk), and his two children, Kate and Noah. In his free time he enjoys skiing, cycling and photography.
Quincy Hentzel has close to 20 years of community advocacy and outreach leadership experience. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she provides strategic leadership and direction for its six community chambers and 1,300 members. She has served in this role since February 2017.
She was previously President of the Portland Community Chamber of Commerce from 2015-17, where she provided leadership and advocacy for this 600-member business community organization. Quincy has also held leadership positions at Industrium and Maine Credit Union League.
Quincy holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She serves on the Board of ProsperityME, Maine Community Foundation, cPort Credit Union, and Boys and Girls Club in Portland.

Rute Rothwell completed her Med-Peds residency at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center after attending University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is a Medicine nocturnist/hospitalist and per diem with Pediatric hospital medicine.
Red Cross nurse and World War I veteran Ruth Weeks Henry began providing the nursing and public health services that would become CHANS Home Health & Hospice in Bath in 1931. She cared for the sick at home and conducted clinics for mothers and babies. Nurse Henry retired from nursing in the late 1950s.

Sarah joined the central office team in 2021 after working as a Let's Go! Coordinator in Oxford County since 2017. Before joining the Let's Go! team, she worked as a nutrition educator with Maine SNAP-Ed. Sarah brings her passion for community to this work and views increased access to healthy eating and physical activity as foundational ways to build healthier communities. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys being outdoors with her family- skiing, biking, and trail running in the mountains of Western Maine.

Simmons Thomas, MD has been working with the Med-Pedes residency program since 2012. He works as an adult hospitalist. He has worked as continuity clinic preceptor and managed his own patient panel in the Med-Pedes clinic since 2014. He became Assistant Program Director for the Med-Pedes program in 2021. Dr. Thomas completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and his Med-Pedes residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Stuart is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of zFlo Inc., a medical device and software distribution company with offices in Westbrook. In addition to serving on MaineHealth and MaineHealth Maine Medical Center's Board, Stuart is an overseer of the Brigham and Women's Hospital, as well as a member of the Harvard School of Public Health's Nutrition Round Table and Dean's Leadership Council. He also serves as a director of the Thomas J. Watson Foundation. He is a former Chairman of the National Wildlife Refuge Association and a former Trustee of the Hotchkiss School, an independent boarding school located in Lakeville, Connecticut. Edmund (Ted) Sears, MD started as Associate Program Director in April 2016. He completed medical school at the Dartmouth-Brown Program through Brown Medical School, then his Med-Peds residency, IM Chief Residency, and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at Brown University. He has been in Maine since 2012, when he joined Chest Medicine Associates and began practicing at MHMMC. He also serves as Associate Director of the MHMMC Adult CF Program, which draws on his Med-Peds training and allows him to collaborate with pediatric pulmonology and is an APD for the Pulmonary/Critical Fellowship. He has research interests in CF and general pulmonary medicine. Ted's family escapes to their place on Kezer Lake whenever they can to spend time on the water and ski nearby at Shawnee Peak.

Dr. Ryan is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and left the faculty at Harvard Medical School in 1992 to move to Maine with his wife Maribeth Hourihan-a pediatric cardiologist. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is the current medical director of the catheterization laboratory at Maine Medical Center and is an interventional cardiologist with Cardiovascular Consultants of Maine. His clinical and research interests focus on ischemic heart disease, coronary angioplasty/stents and heart attack care.
Dr. Ryan is a graduate of the MaineHealth Physician Leadership training program and has served on the MaineHealth Clinical Integration Committee for ten years. He has served on the MaineHealth board since 2006 and is a member of the governance and strategic planning committees.
