Bradley Howard Jacobsen joined our practice on August 14th, 2023.
Dr. Jacobsen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, during which time he also spent a year at Tanzania's School for International Training. He earned his medical degree at University of California Irvine School of Medicine, where he was inducted into and served as Co-President of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which recognizes medical students, residents and physicians who are exemplars of humanistic patient care and serve as role models and leaders in medicine. Dr. Jacobsen is the founder of Medical Education at Tandabui Institute of Health Sciences and Technology, an ultrasound curriculum in Tanzania that has educated over 500 medical professionals and conducted various research projects. Dr. Jacobsen completed his ophthalmology residency at Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah where he served as chief resident. He recently completed his 2-year vitreoretinal fellowship at the largest vitreoretinal practice in the nation, Retina Group of Washington.
Dr. Jacobsen's research has been widely published in leading medical journals and includes research in focusing on underrepresented minority applicants in ophthalmology, complications related to dislocated intraocular lenses, and risk factors and incidence of pseudophakic macular edema. He has presented his research at various international meetings including: Euretina, ARVO and ASRS. In his free time, Dr. Jacobsen enjoys traveling, hiking, music and concerts, cooking, and running with his Labrador retriever.
Dr. Jacobsen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists, and he is board certified in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Jacobsen will be seeing patients in both our Kearny Mesa and Oceanside offices.

Dr. Song is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has served as an investigator in multiple national clinical trials and has contributed to over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference abstracts.
Dr. Song will be seeing patients in both our Kearny Mesa and Oceanside offices.
Sarah Vosough joined the practice in 2017 as lead ophthalmic technician.
She gained education through Grossmont College and has continued her pursuits in the realm of business administration.
Ms. Vosough has an extensive background of over 10 years in both optometry and ophthalmology.
Ms. Vosough's unique background transitioning from lead technician to Practice Administrator has allowed her to implement new strategies in optimizing office efficiency, maximizing patient satisfaction, and has brought a streamlined approach to daily workflow.
Ms. Vosough is a valued member of the team at San Diego Retina Associates.

Dr. Nguyen joined San Diego Retina Associates in September of 2019 after completing his undergraduate education at the University of California - Los Angeles and went on to earn his MBA at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. He graduated from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and supplemented his medical degree with Healthcare Administration and Management. For his compassionate patient care and scholastic achievement, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists. He is also board certified in Ophthalmology and has been involved in research studies, published articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented his work at national meetings, and co-authored a chapter on fibrosis in macular degeneration.
