LI-CAN is one of approximately 75 local groups across the U.S. and abroad affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the nation's first and largest broad-based community organizing network. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 1996, with a track record of achievements that improve lives and strengthen our communities... Long Island CAN (or LI-CAN) is a diverse, non-partisan, volunteer-driven organization rooted in religious congregations and other non-profits in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
