Orthopeutics, L.P. was founded in May 2004 to develop and commercialize revolutionary nonsurgical solutions for common orthopedic problems. Our initial research focus was to explore a revolutionary molecular-scaled tissue tethering medical device approach for the prevention of spinal disc degeneration and the associated low back pain. We discovered along the way that in addition to providing increased joint stability and tissue strength, our tissue matrix modification approach was capable of reducing spinal disc bulge and annular tearing. We also found that this approach was effective in stabilizing and strengthening other mechanically deficient tissues.
