Aptek Inc. was founded in 1988 as a "C" Corp. by Jack W. Link, after long career in the tooling and automation industry as a machinist, designer and sales engineer. After his discharge from service in WW II he began work at Universal Engineering-Frankenmuth, North Branch Products- Revere Bushings, GM - Tool and Design Central Office and the now defunct E & E Engineering provided a solid background in technical solutions for the tooling and automation industry. He acquired the SME Certified Manufacturing Engineer title in 1984. Our original offices were in Grand Blanc, MI... Aptek Inc. began as a manufactures representative for 5 lines of assembly automation and a large Detroit based tooling supplier. Since then the company has expanded to include over 15 lines, and is the North American Distributor for three European product lines.
