Dr. Bequette is an Associate Editor for Automatica (a journal of the International Federation of Automatic Control). He served as Finance Chair, Publications Chair and Publicity Chair for the 1991 (Boston), 1995 (Seattle) and 1998 (Philadelphia) American Control Conferences, respectively. He is the Program Chair for the 2001 American Control Conference (Washington, D.C.), and the General Chair of the 2003 American Control Conference (Denver, CO). Dr. Bequette is the author of "Process Dynamics: Modeling, Analysis and Simulation", published by Prentice Hall (1998). He is writing a textbook on Model-based Process Control, also to be published by Prentice Hall. He currently advises ten graduate students on fundamental and applied research topics in process control, design and operations.
