As the leader of The Mission Group, Karen McElroy-Hunter brings over 20 years of event industry and hospitality industry experience to a broad range of clients. She helps clients achieve a substantially better return on investment from their events by developing strategically creative approaches to concepting, marketing, incentives, registration, housing and production management. Key clients include: ZapMedia, Siemens Energy & Automation, Philips Arena, NFL Properties and International Nortel Networks Meridian Users Group. Before founding The Mission Group in 2000, Karen served as the senior sales and marketing executive for MMS Incentives, Ambassador's Performance Group and WORLD TRAVEL PARTNERS. In each case, she specialized in helping companies and event organizers work together to maximize results for all parties concerned. Early in her career, Karen was honored to be associated with Freeman Decorating Company and Shepard Convention Services. She was directly involved in the production of Comdex, The Presidential Inauguration of former president George Bush Sr., the National Business Aviation Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the International Bowl Expo and the National Athletic Trainers Association. More recently, Karen served as Director of Events with ST Media Group, the oldest and largest Publishing Company in the Visual Communications Industry. Karen is also a consultant to Hanley Wood Exhibitions representing the ADAPT Database Marketing Solution, the Super Bowl XXXIX Jacksonville Hospitality Program and Reed Expositions. Karen currently helps organizations maximize the potential of their luxury seating programs through Suite Returns, a series of business seminars presented by The Mission Group in conjunction with the Association of Luxury Suite Directors.
