Erik began flipping homes with his parents at the age of eight. In 1975 the real estate market in the San Fernando Valley was full of opportunity. Over the next few years, the family bought and sold homes all over Van Nuys, Woodland Hills and eventually built a home in Bell Canyon. In between BMX races on the weekends, he was helping paint, carpet and re-plant the landscaping. This led to a life-long passion for flipping fixer-uppers and a career selling homes... In 1987, at the age of 19 and a sophomore in college, he started his career by joining Merrill Lynch Realty. A few years later he began selling commercial real estate for Marcus and Millichap. There, he represented investor clients buying and selling apartment buildings. In 1993 he was asked to become the assistant manager of Coldwell Banker in Woodland Hills.
