Caley Kim

Caley graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2014 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in July of 2017. She was subsequently entered on the Register of Practitioners in the High Court of Australia in 2018. Since her admission, Caley has practiced Family Law exclusively and has accrued extensive experience in all areas of Family Law. Caley is highly focused on outcomes and is committed to achieving tangible results for her clients. Born in Korea, Caley is a fluent speaker and writer of Korean. In her spare time, Caley enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Catherine Osment

Catherine graduated from the University of New England, NSW with a Bachelor of Laws (Distinction) in 2021 and was awarded the New England Award in recognition of personal and professional development through her participation in: extra-curricular learning and training; leadership and work experience; and volunteer work and contributions to the community. Prior to admission in 2022 Catherine completed an 18-month internship at Young & Young Solicitors in Bunbury dealing primarily in Family and Criminal Law. She subsequently undertook her Practical Legal Training with ALS in Bunbury operating in the same areas of law. Being exposed to such challenging matters involving individual personalities and where every case depends on its own unique facts and circumstances stimulated Catherine's interest in pursuing a career in Family Law.

Cecil Black

Cecil has now retired from practice effective 26 April 2024. Cecil is a skilled negotiator, having been a qualified Mediator since 2014. He also has impressive credentials and experience regarding public life, having been Lord Mayor of Darwin between 1980 and 1984 in addition to being a long-standing member of the Australian Local Government Association (including one term as President).

Greg Martinovich

Greg has been employed as a solicitor with DS Family Law since his admission to practise in October 2017. Prior to his admission, and whilst studying for a Bachelor of Laws at Edith Cowan University, Greg was employed with the firm as a Law Clerk, gaining valuable family law experience over a number of years. Aside from the law, Greg is an avid traveller, frequently visiting central and south America. He also enjoys studying Spanish and the Japanese martial art of aikido.

Greg Spriensma

After receiving his Bachelors of Arts in English Literature, Greg attended Law School at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2018. Greg worked as an Associate Lawyer at a full-service Law Firm in London, Ontario, practising exclusively in the area of Family Law. After moving to Perth with his family in 2022, Greg practised briefly in the area of Commercial Law, before joining DS Family Law as a Solicitor in April 2023. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games, and watching baseball.

Helen Mills

Helen has worked in various areas of law since being admitted to practice, including civil litigation, criminal law and wills, probate and Inheritance Act matters. She has practised exclusively in family law since joining DS Family Law in 2007, and became a Senior Associate of the firm in 2008.

Milos Supljeglav - Founder, Managing Director

Milos is a founding Director and the Managing Director of DS Family Law which he established in 2004 with Ross Dunlop. He is an Accredited Family Law Specialist (as accredited by the Law Society of WA) and holds a Masters Degree in Applied Family Law. He was admitted to practise in 2001 and has substantial experience in litigating at all levels within the Family Law jurisdiction by virtue of his role as In-House Counsel within the Firm. If your matter involves a complex Interim Argument or Trial, no-one in the Firm is better qualified to represent you than Milos. His resumé speaks for itself, and for the past 20 years, he has personally conducted Final Hearings and Appeals that most other Family Law Firms would brief out to an Independent Barrister. Having Milos' input (and the benefit of his involvement) early in your matter provides you with a "checking mechanism" before you embark on what can be a lengthy and expensive journey through the Family Court. As well as being an experienced litigator, Milos is also a long-standing accredited Arbitrator, Mediator, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Collaborative Law Practitioner. In 2014, Milos was the recipient of a coveted 40 under 40 award for his contribution to and achievements in the WA business community.

Rebecca Ward

Rebecca has worked exclusively in family law since 1997, breaking for a time in 2004 to raise her three young children. She has enjoyed her return to family law since 2012. Having children of her own assists in Rebecca's very real understanding of the emotional and practical needs of her clients. She prides herself on her people skills and ability to communicate well in advising and presenting various settlement options, and in engaging in effective and persuasive negotiations on her clients' behalf.

Ross Dunlop

Ross spent his younger years in Glasgow, Scotland, before migrating to Australia in 1997. He holds both an Honours Degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde. He was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in 1992 where he spent five years in practice, principally in the areas of criminal law, family law and domestic and commercial conveyancing. After relocating to Western Australia, Ross has practised exclusively in Family Law. He established DS Family Law in 2004, with co-director Milos Supljeglav. Between 2010 and 2015, the bulk of Ross' caseload came from our Darwin office, which Ross still attends every few months. Away from the law, Ross' interests include playing soccer and strength/fitness training, as well as spending time with his family. Ross loves experiencing new places and has worked and travelled through Europe, North and Central America and the Middle East, before settling in Perth.
