In 1980, Dr. Ramon L. Carrasquillo, PE, received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and moved to Austin, Texas. In Austin, Dr. Carrasquillo became a professor and researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and started Carrasquillo Associates (CA) as a private consulting business. After over 20 years of teaching and research at the University of Texas at Austin and providing consulting services as well as 10 years as owner and president of a ready-mix concrete supply company operating in Central Texas, Dr. Carrasquillo decided to dedicate his efforts to the engineering consulting services. Dr. Carrasquillo's consulting business has expanded to form The Carrasquillo Group (TCG) of consulting businesses including Carrasquillo Associates, LTD.
