CAPDA was founded in 2010 by a group of South Australians driven to share their skills and knowledge with a community of families and carers in Tanzania who had demonstrated their passion and dedication in caring for children with disabilities... CAPDA is a development organisation so our focus is on building the capacity of individuals and organisational partners in Tanzania. Our goal is to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities in Moshi, a semi-rural town at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, and in Dar es Salaam... Community Action for People with Disabilities in Africa is a volunteer organisation based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded by physiotherapist Jan Baker, and supported by a board of professionals, CAPDA is a lean, effective and accountable organisation. Jan started CAPDA with a focus on interventions to improve outcomes for children with physical disabilities.
