Capri Plaza Pet Clinic is a Tarzana based Animal Hospital that offers professional pet care in our state-of-the-art pet facility. We cater to dogs, cats, rabbits, exotic birds, fish, and many other types of pets... Dr. Tamura is a native of Japan. She spent four years of her childhood in Australia, where her interest in animals was sparked. Her family moved to California when she was fourteen years old, where she attended high school. She studied Animal Sciences at Cornell University, in New York, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. She studied Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. As a veterinary student, she worked at the Feline Retrovirus Lab and the Vector Borne Disease Branch of the Centers for Disease Control. She was also an active volunteer at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, and was active in the student chapter of the Association of Avian Veterinarians. Upon graduation in 1998, she moved to California and worked at All Pets Medical Centre..
