BORAKOVE OSMAN - Key Persons
Attorney Peter C. Osman, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, is a Wisconsin-licensed estate planning attorney. He pursued his undergraduate studies at both the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and the University of Wisconsin - Madison, receiving his BA with honors. Peter focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and elder planning. As part of his elder planning practice, Peter received extensive training in the areas of Medicaid asset protection planning.
Peter regularly holds educational workshops for clients, professional advisors, and local businesses and organizations. The topics of his workshops focus on his specialty areas of practice, including estate planning, use of wills and trusts, charitable planning, special needs planning, planning for young families, Medicaid qualification, and planning for taxable estates.
Attorney Osman is a member of WealthCounsel, LLC, a collaborative, nationwide network of top estate planning attorneys, as well as the Madison Estate Counsel. He is a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law and Elder Law Sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, boating, spending time outdoors, and traveling. Peter is also an active member in his hometown community, where he enjoys coaching youth sports and serves as President of the St. Stephen's Foundation, supporting St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
Erika D. Wiskes is the Sr. Legal Administrator for the firm. She is originally from Pleasanton, California, and is a graduate of San Jose State University in Northern California, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, with a minor in Communications, graduating on the Dean's List (2010). Erika joined the firm in 2012, and in her current role assists the attorneys of the firm in their practice areas of estate planning, business planning and estate administration. She is highly involved with the client experience throughout the process in these practice areas, gathering asset information, reviewing and presenting trust funding documents, corresponding directly with clients and their financial institutions, and participating in client meetings. She is the team leader of the firm's funding practice, overseeing the coordination of clients' assets with their living trusts. Erika also participates in the business development area of the firm, attending networking events, assisting the attorneys at presentations and seminars, planning firm sponsored events, and representing the firm through the greater Madison area. She is very involved with the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the Annual Event Planning Committee since 2013.
In her free time, Erika enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and having quality time with her family and friends. She likes to be involved in the community and can often be found volunteering with different organizations, especially ones focusing on animals as she has a big soft spot for all animals. Her love for animals started at an earlier age and was fostered through her riding career as she grew up competing in the Hunter Jumper Circuit with her two horses. Now her focus during her free time is on her young family and household pets.
Jacob Droeszler is the Funding Coordinator at our firm. He is originally from Kieler, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Legal Studies. Jacob obtained his Paralegal Diploma from Madison College in 2021 in the top of his class. Jacob joined the firm in 2021 and directly assisted in the estate and business planning practices of the firm, with an emphasis on the firm's funding department. Jacob quickly established himself as a leader and a master of follow up, and now assists the partners, Shayna W. Borakove, Esq. and Peter C. Osman, Esq., with the Estate Settlement Process. Jacob focuses his time on helping families navigate the complexities of managing their loved one's estate.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and pets. Working on his family's small dairy farm has given Jacob a passion for being outdoors. At home, Jacob enjoys reading, playing cards, and cheering on the Badgers, Bucks, and Packers.
We are hiring a Client Service Specialist and Legal Assistant for the firm. We cannot wait to welcome a new team member into this current role who will be highly involved with the client experience. Our client service specialist will love communicating and interacting with others and ensure that all clients are welcomed warmly to our firm, while ensuring that client information remains up to date and accurate.
Currently Karen Alvarez is serving in this role and will be starting her next chapter working on her PhD!

Jan Ciha is our funding coordinator. Jan assists our clients in coordinating assets with their revocable living trusts. This essential step of Borakove Osman LLC's estate planning process is tantamount to ensuring our clients' families avoid the unnecessary hassles and challenges commonly related to the probate process.
Attorney Vincent J. Falcone is an estate and business planning attorney licensed in the State of Wisconsin. Vince graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School after obtaining his undergraduate degree in Classical Civilization at the University of Michigan. During his summers at the University of Michigan, Vince interned as a law clerk at his father's tax litigation firm. It was there Vince first gained a passion for the law.
As a law student, Vince worked in the University of Wisconsin Law School's Consumer Law Litigation Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin, where he helped protect clients from fraudulent contracts and foreclosure. Vince then worked as a law clerk in Tampa, Florida at a business and employment litigation firm. Prior to joining Borakove Osman, Vince worked at a prominent criminal defense firm in Madison, Wisconsin, where he specialized in OWI defense and appeared in courtrooms all across the state.
