Caitlin joined the Weir Bowen team in 2021, bringing with her a diverse background shaped by her upbringing in rural Saskatchewan. With a primary focus on Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVAs), Personal Injury cases, and Medical Malpractice, Caitlin is committed to assisting those who have been injured in navigating the legal system and dedicated to advocating for them.
Caitlin's approach to client interaction is marked by patience, empathy, and a commitment to ensuring her clients feel heard and supported. Caitlin believes in empowering her clients, making sure they understand the legal process and feel confident in making decisions throughout.
Outside of work, Caitlin spends most of her time at the hockey rink or soccer field with her 3 boys. She also enjoys getting in a round of golf, family movie nights, Pilates, and a good glass of wine.

Elizabeth's legal practice focuses on litigation emphasizing personal injury litigation, wrongful death, insurance defense work, and estate litigation. She also practices in the wills and estates area.
She takes time to get to know her clients, to understand their claims and makes sure they understand all the steps and options in their litigation. Elizabeth has always enjoyed the occasional unusual file.
Elizabeth has extensive experience as counsel before the courts of Alberta, and in negotiation, mediation, and judicial dispute resolution of civil claims. Lawyers from other firms often refer cases to her.
Elizabeth was appointed Queen's counsel in 2012. Best lawyers in Canada has recognized her since 2020 and in 2023 named her Edmonton's Personal Injury Litigator of the Year.

During his time at law school, Ian was an active member of the Faculty of Law Hockey Team, the Tortfeasors. This passion for hockey continues today as he remains actively involved in the sport, both as a player and coach. In his spare time, Ian enjoys walking his dog and spending quality time with family and friends. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of the Edmonton Oilers.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Philip obtained his law degree and served articles of clerkship to the Court of Appeal of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. He completed his articles with Weir Bowen in 1995 and has since been a dedicated member of the firm.
Focusing on civil litigation, Philip emphasizes legal research and written advocacy. He collaborates closely with the medical malpractice group at Weir Bowen, preparing and presenting cases with precision and dedication. Throughout her career, Vanessa has gained extensive experience in both oral and written advocacy, which she brings to every case.
