He trained as a chartered quantity surveyor and set up the surveying and project management practice DRA in 1984. DRA grew to be one of the largest practices in Ireland before being acquired by White Young Green plc in 2003. Denis was appointed CEO of White Young Green Ireland and grew the Irish business threefold before retiring in 2008.
