THE AMISH WOODSHOP

In 1987, with humble beginnings, the "The Amish Woodshop Collection" was founded. We started handcrafting our own furniture in a small woodshop located in upstate New York. As the demand for our own handcrafted furniture grew, the journey to seek out small quality woodworking shops throughout the country began. We found that some select Amish furniture builders could meet the quality standards that our customers had become accustom to. We work very closely with our Amish woodshops to ensure that our original quality standards are consistently adhered to... During the late 1600's, a group led by Jakob Ammann broke away from the Mennonites over the lack of enforcement of shunning. Shunning is the excommunication of disobedient or negligent members of the group. This group became the Amish and still to this day follow the same beliefs and rituals as they did then...
