Prior to returning to the consulting business he founded in 1987, Bartholomew J. "Bart" Timm served in the School of Business at The George Washington University (GWU) as Visiting Professor of Business Communications, as faculty member in the Management Department, and as Executive Director of MBA Programs. Professor Timm came to GWU from Georgetown University, where he started The International Cardiovascular-Kidney Research Institute at Georgetown University Medical Center, and joined the faculty at the McDonough School of Business in 2003. As a full-time faculty member he taught courses in Communications, Organizational Behavior, Change Management and Leadership and served as the Director for the Graduate Business Program in International Management at Oxford University, England. Additionally he has taught Change Management at Universidad de Externado de Colombia, Bogotá, Colombia, and Human Resource Management at Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia. Professor Timm has considerable breadth and depth of experience in the business world and has served as a CEO, COO, and CFO. He was the CEO of a multimillion-dollar Home Health Care company and was the Chief Operating Officer for the National Association for Home Care located in Washington, D.C. Mr. Timm is a retired United States Navy Officer and was a Pharmaceutical Business Unit Director for a multi-state area. Mr. Timm was a fast track executive with AT&T. For more than a decade he was an adjunct professor in Business and Economics and Communications at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, and at Indiana University at South Bend.
