Adam Huwer - COO

Adam Huwer serves as the Director of Operations of construction projects in the Columbus region. Adam graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and brings over 20 years of experience in the construction management industry. He also has a diverse background working in his family's oil and gas well business and agricultural farm. Adam played a significant role in launching the SCC Student Learning Program and continues to enjoy interacting with young men and women interested in pursuing a career in construction. As an active member in his community, Adam coaches youth basketball, baseball and football. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, taking walks and playing music on the porch when they are not at the baseball diamond, football field or basketball court.

Andy Rogers - VP

Andy Rogers serves as Vice President for Summit Construction. Andy oversees and manages all aspects of the projects that fall under the Columbus office and market. Andy has a strong background in construction management including subcontractor negotiating, conflict resolution, scheduling, and client relations. Andy holds an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Management. He is also a Certified LEED Accredited Professional. Andy is active in Lower Lights Ministries, the Brockstong Foundation, and Lifepoint Lewis Center. While not at work, Andy enjoys playing golf with his wife Amy, watching his two stepsons play baseball and soccer, and chasing his three-year-old son all over Delaware County.

Carlin Culbertson - CFO

Carlin Culbertson, CPA serves as the Director of Finance at Summit Construction. Carlin brings 19 years of public accounting experience as an auditor focused on contractors, with four years leading the construction practice group. Carlin graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an active member of his community. Carlin serves on the Board of Directors for North Royalton School District, is a member of CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association) and a Finance Committee member for the Adoption Network Cleveland.

Jasen P. Conner - Chief Risk Officer

Jasen P. Conner, LEED AP BD+C serves as Chief Risk Officer for Summit Construction Company. Jasen oversees the company's risk and assists with developing strategic plans for the company. With his 24 years of experience with Summit Construction and in the construction industry, Jasen brings a wealth of knowledge concerning all facets of the company and the industry. Jasen holds an Associate Degree in Surveying along with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Technology from the University of Akron. Jasen is also a Certified LEED Accredited Professional. While not at work, Jasen enjoys spending time with his wife Candace of 27 years, two children, Tayler and Carson, participating in coaching youth sports, golfing and traveling.

Jason A. Winkler - President

Jason A. Winkler serves as President for Summit Construction Company. Jason leads the Summit Construction Team through executing the company's corporate mission, vision and culture. Jason emphasizes the importance of relationships and impeccable service to clients and the community. His strong desire to motivate roots from his background as captain of the Zips baseball team for the University of Akron. In 2001, Jason began his career as a Project Manager for Summit Construction. Prior to becoming President in 2015, Jason worked in Real Estate Development for several years, holding positions as Development Project Manager, Leasing Manager, and Director of Redevelopment. Jason specializes in executive project management, business development and client relationships, and employee success through continued education programs like SCC Lunch & Learns. Jason graduated from the University of Akron with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

Kevin Knapp - COO

Kevin Knapp serves as the Director of Operations for Northeast Ohio facilities. Kevin graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and brings over 21 years of experience in construction. Kevin has substantial knowledge in new-build, ground-up vertical construction, as well as existing renovation and adaptive re-use construction. He is an active mentor for high school interns and college co-op students at SCC, professionally involved in local trade school mentorship, and also volunteer coaches for youth sports. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, attending kids sporting events, playing with his dog in the yard, traveling and working on home improvement projects.

Megan Smith - CMO

Megan Smith serves as Director of Marketing at Summit Construction. Megan graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. A passionate leader since high school, Megan was the captain of her junior Olympic volleyball team, a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success, and has held management positions in every role she's undertaken. Megan oversees daily operations for the marketing department, leads with creative vision and drives brand growth and awareness for SCC. As a firm leader, Megan delivers strategic insights and actionable recommendations to enhance company processes. While she's not working, Megan enjoys quality time with her family, interior decorating, and art, fashion, comedy and food events in Cleveland and Akron.

Nathan Booth

Nathan Booth serves as the Director of Construction at Summit Construction Company. With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Nathan has the ability to lead teams, analyze complex project requirements, review drawings and specs, and manage budgets. He is a creative problem solver and excels at developing and managing successful construction projects. Nathan has focused mainly on the hospital construction market managing difficult situations that require strategic coordination and scheduling between hospital departments, subcontractors, and architects. Nathan has successfully managed dozens of projects of different sizes on a yearly basis. He prioritizes having a team mentality with all people on every project to ensure open and honest communication. His fair but firm approach has resulted in trusting relationships with local subcontractors and repeat business with clients. He provides an uplifting environment for all his projects and is quick to negate actions and conflicts that would hinder the successful completion of this projects. He is highly organized and detail-oriented with extensive knowledge of construction management and project management. He continually seeks new ways to improve management expertise, enhance team experience, boost company morale and improve overall team focus. Nathan was previously the safety manager for Summit Construction and has developed the safety culture that is continuosly being improved throughout the company today. In 2018, he received the SANEO Safety Excellence Award for improvement of Summit safety culture. He has set standards within the company to successfully grow and maintain a safe work environment for all people to enter the project site with the understanding that there will always be room for improvement.

Scott Montgomery

Scott Montgomery is the Director of Preconstruction at Summit Construction, where he oversees preconstruction and estimating for the company. His career of more than 20 years as a construction professional has given him experience with both the contracting and ownership roles of project delivery. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering from the University of Akron. He has extensive experience in preconstruction, from conceptual design cost analysis to hard-bid estimating. Outside of work, Scott often finds himself working on home improvement projects, spending time with his wife and three adult children, riding roller coasters at Cedar Point, and watching football. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Builders Exchange of East Central Ohio.
