Aaron Courtney represents energy, municipal, industrial, agricultural and developer clients on compliance, permitting and litigation issues under the Clean Water Act (CWA) (with a particular emphasis on Section 404 and Section 10 permitting), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) (focusing on Bureau of Land Management rights-of-way authorizations), and federal and state clean-up laws. Aaron's energy infrastructure work focuses on linear project development (transmission and pipeline) and renewable energy generation project permitting (wind and solar).
Aaron also has extensive experience representing clients in formulating mitigation strategies to facilitate such permitting, as well as advising clients in the development of natural resource mitigation banks. Adam Witt is a real estate and construction attorney who provides his clients with practical business advice and a wide range of transactional services. Adam regularly represents business owners, developers, investors, contractors, subcontractors, property owners, landlords, and tenants in complex real estate, construction, and business matters across California and the United States.
Adam's practice focuses on the purchase, sale, development, leasing, and financing of commercial real property across many asset classes, including retail, restaurant, office, medical, industrial, multifamily residential, and mixed-use. He also has extensive experience with all types of construction contracts on both public and private projects, including prime contracts, design-build agreements, subcontracts, construction management agreements, material and equipment purchase agreements, and design professional agreements.
Adam is skilled in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements and, if needed, deftly resolving disputes. He has advised on real estate and construction related aspects of a number of renewable energy projects. Adam also has considerable experience guiding clients on business formation, operation, governance, and commercial transactions, and serves as an outside general counsel for many of his clients.

Adam has dedicated over a decade of his career to representing timberland owners and forest products manufacturing businesses in virtually all aspects of their businesses. Adam is a nationally recognized counsel to industry clients, and he is committed to delivering practical, solutions-oriented advice. Clients regularly entrust him to help them navigate many aspects of their timber and forest products operations, including forest industry mergers and acquisitions, timberland and timber resource transactions, renewable energy projects, credit and financing transactions, and other operational issues.
