Melissa Franklin is president and founder of Skycrest Inc. and has a singular focus on finding the right fit - not just a good fit. With more than 25 years in corporate leadership roles and executive recruiting for start-up, mid-size and Fortune 100 companies, Melissa has developed a reputation in the market for her innate ability to quickly assess candidates in talent assessment, selection and leadership development. Melissa founded Skycrest in 2008 with the philosophy of creating a partnership with clients to work as an extension of their team. This focus has enabled her to deliver a quality product with a hands-on approach to executive search. With her background in human resources, her focus is on ethics and integrity while exceeding client expectations. In addition to Skycrest clients, Melissa has been involved in candidate assessment for a variety of industries including high-tech and biotech (AlliedSignal/Honeywell, Invitrogen/ThermoFisher and Illumina) and smaller software, retail and hospitality companies (Peregrine Systems and Homegrocer.com). Prior to founding Skycrest, Melissa spent several years in executive search with a global firm focused on the Life Sciences industry. She delivered or led searches internationally. She has successfully sourced, selected and coached new leaders in high impact executive roles cross-functionally. Melissa earned an MBA in Human Resources Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Centenary College.
