Caitriona McMahon

After completing her BCL degree in University College Dublin, Caitriona then obtained her LL.M degree at Trinity College Dublin prior to completing her traineeship. She has also successfully completed Law Society Diplomas in Property Tax, and Environmental and Planning Law. Caitriona specialises in all aspects of Conveyancing, both residential and commercial, together with Landlord and Tenant law, and Charity Law, and has successfully represented clients at both Residential Tenancies Board disputes and tribunals, and the Workplace Relations Commission. Caitriona has been a dedicated volunteer with FLAC for the past twenty years, having been awarded FLAC's Gold Pin award in 2023 for her lengthy service.

Paul Eaton MII Grad

Paul joined Richard H McDonnell Solicitors LLP in 2007 and is a partner in the practice. A business studies and marketing graduate, Paul also holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and undertook a module of his Master's Degree at the John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Boston, USA. Paul specialises in Criminal Litigation, Personal Injuries actions, Family Law and Employment Law matters, Probate and Wills in addition to Commercial and Corporate transactions. Paul has represented clients in the District Court, Circuit Court, High Court and the Criminal Courts of Justice as well as the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court. Paul is also admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts in England & Wales.

Richard E McDonnell

Richard joined his father, Dick McDonnell, in the Practice in 1980 and became Principal on Dick's death in 1992. His main area of interest and expertise is litigation in all its forms but in particular the areas of personal injuries claims and District and Circuit Court advocacy. His advocacy skills have been honed over almost 40 years experience in the local District and Circuit Courts in addition to the High Court, the Employment Appeals Tribunal and numerous mediation conferences. He is well known and widely respected for his plain speaking, common sense and a shrewd understanding of tactics and how the Law and the Courts work.

Sara McDonnell

Sara obtained a Masters Degree in Law from Trinity College, Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 1989. She has been an integral part of the firm since the death of her father, Richard H.McDonnell in 1992, when she left her then employment with a well known Dublin law firm to join her brother, Richard E. McDonnell in managing the firm of Richard H McDonnell Solicitors LLP. Since then, she has built up a considerable expertise in areas such as Conveyancing, Wills & Probate, Capital Taxation and Litigation.
