RADIANCE DREAM

I was surprised when looking back over my work that I'd been creating art for almost 25 years. During most of that time I was, like most people, busy focusing on many other things - work, family life, education. Retired now, I am free to concentrate on my art. I'm currently studying in the Visual Arts Diploma program at UFV (The University of the Fraser Valley). It's a wonderful, welcoming place to learn and develop my art...
I like to work in acrylics in vibrant colors because acrylics match my need to make an instant impact. I particularly like the bold strokes and energy of les Fauves. I appreciate the effect of using brushes, mark making tools and palette knives because they allow unusual and dramatic effects that help me to create the energy I want to convey in my work.
