Dr. Ashley Langford graduated from Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan in 2001. She performed her undergraduate work at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. After three years at Purdue she was accepted early into the veterinary program at Texas A&M University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her DVM from Texas A&M in 2008. After graduation she completed a rotating internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida. Dr. Langford then received advanced training in oncology at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2010, following her time at Angell, Dr. Langford joined the Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital team. Since their move to Lakeland, she and her husband have welcomed three children to their family. Her professional interests include internal medicine and oncology. Having been a member of our team for over ten years, Dr. Langford appreciates the opportunity to develop relationships with owners and walk with families through all stages of their pet's lives.
Dr. Chase Washburn is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her bachelors degrees from the University of Georgia. (GO DAWGS!) After graduation, she moved to New York City for a couple years working in the fashion industry before she returned to her lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian. She received her DVM from Ross University in 2018 just before moving to Lakeland with her husband, Eric. Dr. Washburn has a passion for the human-animal bond and behavioral medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), and is Fear Free Certified. In her spare time she loves flying and traveling to new places with her husband as well as spending time with their two doodles, Ginger and Charlie.
Dr. Robert Houghton is a 1998 graduate of George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Auburn University and a DVM from St. George's University. After completing his clinical year at North Carolina State University, he received additional training as an intern at the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine teaching hospital.
Dr. Houghton and his wife, Jackie, have a full household, with their three children; Adrienne, Ellis & James, and three dogs- Jorge, Clive, and Phil.
Dr. Houghton is the Owner and Medical Director of Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital. His goal is to continue the tradition of excellent medical care for the clients and patients of the hospital. Through our focus on compassionate care, personal service, and unsurpassed professional medical attention, we look forward to the next generation of healthy pets and lifelong relationships.
