Abbey is a knowledgeable employment lawyer who advises both employees and employers on a wide range of workplace matters, including wrongful dismissal litigation and human rights complaints. She also assists organizations in drafting and reviewing employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Alex joined Parlee McLaws in 2024 bringing experience in contentious civil and public law matters. He aims to bring a common-sense approach to his practice which includes commercial litigation, construction disputes, insurance litigation, and employment law. Alex has appeared in the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King's Bench of Alberta on matters that span a range of businesses and industries.

Andrew is a member of Parlee's Litigation Practice Group where he acts as counsel for individuals, insurance companies, and public and private organizations, municipalities and corporations in the litigation and dispute resolution of various types of matters including bodily injury, property damage, subrogated claims, employment, contractual disputes and professional misconduct. Andrew has a particular interest in any type of matter that is out of the ordinary and requires a novel approach to achieving the best outcome for his client.

Charles joined Parlee McLaws as an associate following the completion of his articles with the firm in 2010. His litigation practice is in the areas of insurance law, financial services, insolvency, and general civil litigation.

Greg has been recognized by his peers for a number of years in The Best Lawyers in Canada for his "high caliber work in Insurance Law, and Corporate and Commercial Litigation" and also has been identified by Benchmark Canada for a number of years in their research as "one of the preeminent litigation practitioners in Canada" and highlighted in Benchmark Canada as a Litigation Star. Greg is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, The Trial Honorary Society.
Greg joined Parlee McLaws in 1984 and became a partner in 1990. He served on several firm committees, including a term as Managing Partner of the firm's Edmonton office before relocating his practice to the Calgary office in 2006. He is the senior litigator in our Calgary office.

Jim is also a member of the Firm's intellectual property group of lawyers and patent agents. He acted as counsel for a plaintiff in a trial before the Court of Queens Bench of Alberta of Alberta involving the alleged copyright infringement of a television program. Jim is currently acting as counsel in various patent infringement actions before the Federal Court.

Jerri is a partner in the Edmonton office and was Managing Partner from 2008 to 2014. She resumed the role of Managing Director in 2022. She has presented numerous times on management and leadership topics as well as on topics of interest to the insurance industry. Jerri is actively involved in the business community in Edmonton having served several years on the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce Board and was Board Chair in 2015. She has also been involved in several other business focused committees as a volunteer.
Jerri is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, The Trial Lawyer Honorary Society.
Jerri has been active in a number of equine organizations, holding several different Board positions.

Kaitlyn joined Parlee McLaws as an associate in 2016 following the completion of her articles with the firm, and she joined the partnership in 2023. Kaitlyn is an experienced litigator with a general civil litigation practice, focused in the areas of insurance, energy, restructuring and insolvency, commercial disputes, construction, and labour and employment matters.
As part of her insurance practice, Kaitlyn has been involved in a variety of issues including property damage, personal injury, occupiers' liability, municipality claims, construction matters, manufacturer and distributor claims, coverage issues, and condominium claims. As part of her general civil litigation practice, Kaitlyn has been involved in a wide range of matters including contractual disputes, debt enforcement, employment disputes, and bylaw and rule interpretation matters involving condominium corporations and non-profit organizations.

Kelly became an Associate in 2022 after starting at Parlee McLaws as a summer student in 2019 and completing her articles with the firm. Her practice is litigation focused, with an emphasis on labour and employment, and corporate commercial litigation. She has been involved with matters before various tribunals and levels of court, including the Alberta Humans Rights Commission, the Court of Justice, and the Court of King's Bench.
Kirsten is a registered patent agent, qualified to practice before the Canadian and United States Patent Offices, and before the World Intellectual Property Office through the provisions of the Patent Cooperation Treaty. Supported by her background in biological science, she handles the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in fields related to life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, agricultural and mechanical technologies, and oil sand extraction and processing. Kirsten works with clients in the private and public sectors, including universities, life sciences companies, and individual inventors.
