With over 30 years' experience in public and private sector emergency response operations, I began my career in public service in 1989 as a state of Michigan certified firefighter, medical first responder, rescue diver, and sworn police officer. After ten years of service, I left the public sector and worked for over 15 years as a state and federal government contractor responding to environmental emergencies and over 200 natural/manmade FEMA disaster missions throughout the United States. Throughout my career, I have acquired dozens of nationally and internationally accredited specialized certifications and trainings, and a key instructor to public and private emergency responders.
