Our mission is to collaborate with communities and facilitate partnership with stakeholders to enable sustainable living... MORDI Tonga Trust started as a project in 2007 and was registered as a NGO in 2009. Its purpose is to empower isolated rural communities to fight against poverty. MORDI's main goal is to contribute to the improved sustainable livelihoods of vulnerable communities in rural areas in Tonga. This is achieved through the provision of skill development training and implementation of community development projects... We create projects that not only generate income, but are also sustainable, efficient and effective . We see this as having a direct hand in alleviating poverty in remote rural communities. Educating women in how to provide proper nutrition for their families, proper hygiene and managing the household budget is identified as a vital element in achieving our goals.
