MIDDLE COUNTRY ENDOCRINOLOGY - Key Persons
After working as a Registered Nurse for two years, her thirst for knowledge regarding health and medicine for her patients led her to complete the Physician Assistant program at Stony Brook University. She has many years of experience as a PA, more than she cares to count. Her goal in patient care is to practice the art of medicine by applying the science of medicine to each individual patient to improve their health and well-being. She believes this is best achieved through a collaborative relationship between provider and patient.

Dr. Sherry Sussman is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at Stony Brook University Medical Center where she obtained her medical degree as well as her subspecialty training. She is double-boarded in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. She is the former Section Chief of the Division of Endocrinology at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital and St. Charles Hospital, both located in Port Jefferson, New York. Dr. Sussman is a member of the American Diabetes Association and its Interest Group on Clinical Endocrinology, Health Care Delivery and Public Health. She is also an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. In 2004, the degree of Fellow, American College of Endocrinology (FACE) was conferred upon Dr. Sussman. In 2012, she received the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU), which is a professional certification in the field of neck ultrasonography for physicians who perform consultations and diagnostic evaluations for thyroid and parathyroid disorders through both diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (UGFNA).

Jenna Goldstein received her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical and Health Sciences as well as her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. From a young age, she has been passionate about working in the field of endocrinology. In 7th grade, she was diagnosed with a thyroid issue, which prompted her to see an endocrinologist. Learning about her thyroid sparked an interest in the field, and during her training for her physician assistant degree, that interest was solidified as she enjoyed learning about other endocrinology disease states. Jenna is very committed to providing patient-centered care and prioritizing that the patient is part of the shared decision-making process regarding their treatment. One thing that is important to her is that her patients understand their disease and their treatment plan in as little or as much detail as they would prefer as she believes that being informed is the key to having the best outcomes in treatment.
Jenna is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants. She is very excited to be part of the team at Middle Country Endocrinology, PC.
Kim Wolf is a Registered Dietitian who received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from LIU Post. She received her Master of Science with a specialty in Eating Disorders from LIU Post as well. Her thesis was titled "A Qualitative Exploration of Dental Professionals' Clinical Experiences in the Recognition, Care, and Referral of Patients with Eating Disorders". After completing her Masters work, she completed her Dietetic Internship at Stony Brook University She is currently a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Long Island Dietetic Association.
Prior to entering the Nutrition field, Kim earned a DDS degree from NYU College of Dentistry, completed a General Practice Residency program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, and practiced General Dentistry in Suffolk County.
