MI-JACK - Key Persons
Jack Lanigan Sr. devised a boom crane that could lift utility poles from the back of a truck and over parked cars. To turn his idea into reality, he took a leave from his job at the City of Chicago in 1954 and started Mi-Jack Products, named for his two sons, Michael and Jack.
The material handling industry held no bounds for Jack Sr. He searched for needs in the marketplace and devoted his energy to finding "a better way".
