Andrea completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Allen College in Waterloo, IA, in December of 2015. Andrea then completed her Masters in Nursing in August of 2020, from Allen College, in Waterloo, IA.
Andrea wants patients to enjoy their lives. She chose a career in medicine so she could help people be their very best. She enjoys assisting people find the resources needed and serve as a resource for behavioral and mental health patients.

Chad Boyer is a certified physician assistant who joined our staff at Mason City Clinic in 2007. Chad practices general orthopedic medicine, including seeing patients in the clinic, performing minor surgical procedures, surgical assist, inpatient care and on-call services - under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeons at Mason City Clinic.
Mr. Boyer graduated magna cum laude with a biology premedicine degree and LaSallian Honors minor from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. He subsequently obtained a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Iowa, with classes and training at Carver College of Medicine. In addition to clinical practice, Chad has been a preceptor for PA students, medical students and family medicine residents. He is a member of Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery, American Academy of Physician Assistants and Iowa Physician Assistant Society.
Dr. Lee received his Medical Doctorate in May 2016 from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa, and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa - Hospital and Clinics.
Donald Beitzel, PA-C General Surgery Donald received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, ND.

Dr. Byron T. Beasley is a board-certified physician with additional qualifications in cardiovascular disease and geriatrics, practicing within the Mercy Heart Center of Mason City Clinic since 1979. He previously served as president of the medical staff and director of cardiovascular services at Mercy Medical Center. Utilizing his extensive experience and advanced technical skills, Dr. Beasley also serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Beasley first completed his bachelor's degree at St. Olaf College before graduating with his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. His postgraduate training included a medical internship and residency at Indiana University Hospitals and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Iowa.
His work has also been published in leading medical publications. Dr. Beasley remains active in the medical community as a member of several professional organizations, including:

Dr. Beasley has held many elected positions within these organizations, including on the board of directors of the American College of Cardiology and as a board member and past president of the American Heart Association's Iowa affiliate.
Dr. Thompson received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He received his medical degree and completed his medical residency at University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Thompson's clinical interests include depression, mood / anxiety disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He is fluent in both English and Spanish languages and looks forward to the opportunity to meet the health needs of the community.
A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Dr. Thompson knew he wanted to be a doctor since childhood. "I love working with patients; being able to help and advocate for them during some of the most difficult and challenging experiences of their lives," said Dr. Thompson. "I believe in providing care to patients as if they're my own family because they deserve the absolute utmost quality and compassionate care." Outside of work, Dr. Thompson enjoys being outdoors, traveling, cooking and gardening.
Dr. Mark E. Lassise is board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, with additional qualifications in Addiction Medicine, and has treated patients at Mason City Clinic since 1997. With over 25 years of practice experience and extensive training, Dr. Lassise provides patients with state-of-the-art care for a wide range of conditions.
Dr. Scott M. Donohoe is a highly skilled and experienced podiatrist practicing at Mason City Clinic since 2005. He is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Emily Haberichter, PA-C Orthopedics Emily received her Bachelors of Science in Biology degree from University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Garner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. Emily enjoys being able to change a patient's quality of life. Seeing their happiness after relief from injection or surgery is very rewarding. She enjoys developing her skills in the OR as well as relationships with her patients. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Emily received her Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences degree from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA.
Gabrielle received her Bachelors of Science in Biology degree from University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
Gabrielle chose to be a Physician Assistant because of the challenges, but also appreciates how rewarding the field is. Gabrielle looks forward to creating a positive and welcoming environment to her patients, while providing consistent, high quality care.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
Jennifer is a board-certified physician assistant who graduated from the Midwestern University physician assistant program in 2000. She has over 14 years of experience in patient care, working primarily in cardiac medicine. During the past 12 years, Jennifer has been a valued provider in the Cardiology department. Her involvement in the practice has included monitoring cardiac stress tests, formulating treatment plans for inpatients and holding outpatient clinic hours to help meet the needs of our patients. Currently, her focus in the outpatient cardiology setting is on the treatment of heart failure.
Jordan received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA.
Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Jordan has worked as a Surgical Technologist and has always had a love for surgery. She is looking forward to the hands on experience this role will provide her. Jordan is passionate about educating her patients on the importance of preventative care and screenings.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors.
Kaitlyn received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from Allen College in Waterloo, IA and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Creighton University in Omaha, NE.
Kaitlyn is passionate about cardiovascular health and especially enjoy arrythmias, teaching about lifestyle modifications, and symptom management related to many different cardiac diseases. She looks forward to not only treating her patient's physical ailments related to different cardiovascular conditions, but feels it is also important to address an individual's mental and spiritual well-being in order to provide well-rounded care.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, many different outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and biking, and traveling to new places.
Krista obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa and Master of Science in Nursing from Allen College. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Iowa with an expected graduation date of July 2025.
Krista is committed to caring for patients throughout all stages of their lives. Krista believes that nursing is all about caring. As a nurse practitioner, she combines that care-based approach with analysis of symptoms and disease diagnosis when treating each patient. Krista loves developing long-term relationships with her patients. She enjoys getting to know them beyond their health, listening to them, and educating them on their healthcare conditions.
Outside of work, Krista enjoys traveling. Most specifically to Disney World. She is a Disney World expert and loves sharing her knowledge and tips with her friends and family. She also enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Kyle received his bachelor's degree in pre-professional zoology from Northwest Missouri State University. He went on to Des Moines University, where he received a degree in physician assistant studies after which he joined the Mason City Clinic Orthopedics department.
Kyle enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions throughout the 14-county service area as well as working in the clinic and performing minor procedures as well as assisting the physicians with their various surgical procedures.
Megan Wassom, PA-C General Surgery Megan received her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science degree from Buena Vista University, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. Megan is passionate about various topics, including sterile technique, prevention and management of surgical site and hospital-acquired infections, and surgical versus non-surgical management options for similar conditions. In her free time, she enjoys painting as much as she can.
Michael del Rio, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Dr. del Rio received his undergraduate degree from New York University, and received his medical degree from Cornell University. He attended his General Surgery Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, and attended his cardiac surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia.
"I am passionate about improving standards of care through communication with my patients about treatments and procedures," said Dr. del Rio. "I joined the Mason City Clinic because of my unity with its mission to provide excellent care to our community."

Outside of work Dr. del Rio enjoys art and researching innovative cardiovascular technology.
Michael received his nursing degree from Central Methodist University in Fayetee, MO and went on to complete his Doctorate of Nursing at Family Nurse Practioner University of Missouri in Colombia, MO.
Over his years as a healthcare provider, Michael has seen the impact a person's mental health can have on their physical well-being and is looking forward to providing care to those who live in the community and surrounding area.
In his free time Michael enjoys doing meals on wheels, CPR education for staff, boy scouts, and churches, presentations on Burn and Stroke prevention to students, nursery volunteer at church, exercise (running, biking, swimming, disc golf), and family time.
Paige Burtness, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C Cardiology Paige received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Allen College in Waterloo, IA. Paige has always had a passion for the sciences, medicine, and utilizing her skills and knowledge to benefit the community. She excited to be a part of the MercyOne family, following in her mother's footsteps, who has been a nurse with MercyOne since 1987. It is because of her that she developed a passion for helping others. Paige looks forward to providing personalized medicine to her patients.

Robert received his bachelor's degree in biology, psychology and health sciences with a concentration in microbiology from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. He went on to complete his master's degree in the physician assistant program at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.
In his free time, he enjoys kayaking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Rogerio Ramos is a board-certified psychiatrist who has practiced in the mental health clinic at Mason City Clinic since 2009, as well as serving as Medical Director of Prairie Ridge Addiction Treatment Center and running a buprenorphine clinic for patients with addictions.

Samantha enjoys educating her patients on their medical conditions and helping them prepare for their upcoming surgeries and being there for recovery.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Sarabeth Seagreaves, PA-C Bariatric Surgery Sarabeth received her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Lock Haven University, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, GA. Sarabeth is passionate about obesity medicine and enjoys helping her patients improve their quality of life. She looks forward to helping her patients achieve their health goals and getting back to the activities they love. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, yoga, traveling and trying new foods.
Shawn is a board-certified physician assistant who graduated from Des Moines University's physician assistant program in 1990. She has over 20 years of experience in patient care working in obstetrics and gynecology, family practice medicine, general surgery and finally plastic surgery. During the past 12 years, Shawn has been a valued provider in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Shawn's involvement in the practice has included first assisting in surgery, taking calls and holding outpatient clinic hours to help meet the needs of our patients. As a well-qualified team member, she enhances efficiency and safety in the operating room and provides a qualified and uniform extension of the care Dr. Mulkey and Dr. Recinos provide.
Shawn's experience, gained by assisting in the operating room for many years, allows her to efficiently coordinate postoperative care in her clinics. She is skilled in total body screening for skin cancer and benign lesions. She is well-versed in the initial workup and nonoperative management of hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglions and trigger finger.
Taylor received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Graceland University in Independence, MO.
Taylor became a nurse practitioner because it allows her to have patient interaction while also applying natural sciences. Taylor looks forward to providing care in Mason City and giving her patients a higher quality of life. She welcomes each patient encounter as an opportunity to help patients obtain a higher quality of life as well as a learning opportunity for herself.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, spending time outdoors, running and hiking.
Dr. Mulkey received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in June of 2018 from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. He then went on to complete his residency at Christus St. Patrick Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency in Louisiana.
