The LAC President, Otto Lagarhus, served as Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Norway, on a special assignment from the Norwegian Minister of Transport. During this period, Norway became a member of EASA, and Mr. Lagarhus served on the Management Board of EASA, as well as on the Provisional Council of Eurocontrol. The Norwegian CAA also underwent successful ICAO and EASA audits in this time period.
