As a certified mediator and educator, I feel privileged to help people take risks, navigate transitions and create change in their lives... During the pandemic, I shifted the focus of my work to helping my community address the affordable housing crisis. I currently serve on the Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County board of directors and support our Housing Solutions Network. I believe that the housing trust / community land trust (CLT) model offers great promise in creating permanently affordable housing for people working in our local economy. I am grateful that both the Olympic Housing Trust and Habitat for Humanity are working on building homes in our community using the housing trust model... I have mediated over 125 cases since 2012 and have over 400 hours of training in community, family, elder, and social justice mediation.
