Hi-Tech Turning Co Inc. was founded in 1991 by Paul Kottke, who established the company with the purchase of his first Okuma CNC Lathe. Throughout the next seven years, the company developed a strong customer base by manufacturing high quality parts and connectors for the defense and aircraft industries. In 1998, the company increased its capabilities with the purchase of a second Okuma. Paul expanded the company yet again in 2004 with the purchase of an Okuma with Live Tooling. With this purchase, Paul outgrew the space in his father's shop and moved Hi-Tech Turning Co Inc. into the 2,000 sq ft shop next door. With a growing identity and reputation in the machining industry, Paul, in 2007, added another Okuma Big Bore with Live Tooling to his repertoire of CNC machines.
