Carol Johnston serves as associate vice president and controller for the Georgia United Methodist Foundation. Carol passed the CPA exam in 1989 and had a distinguished career in banking before joining the Foundation's team in 2011. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Carol is active in her community and is the captain of a local competitive tennis team.

Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Coppedge-Henley has served as the President and CEO of the Georgia United Methodist Foundation since January 9, 2024. The Foundation's Board of Trustees unanimously elected her.
Elizabeth is an ordained Elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. Before joining the Foundation, she led local churches in pastoral roles for 23 years. Elizabeth also served for five years in two different positions at the United Methodist Foundation of Western North Carolina - first as Executive Director of the Reynolds Program in Church Leadership and then for three years as the Foundation's Chief Operating Officer.
She understands the local church and feels a deep commitment to the mission of the Foundation and the United Methodist Church. Elizabeth has served as a Jurisdictional Delegate to the Southeast Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church and as Vice President and a member of the Western North Carolina Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. In addition, Elizabeth served for several years on the Western North Carolina Conference Finance and Administration and Administrative Review Committees.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina, and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur. Additionally, Elizabeth earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
A native of Dalton, Georgia, Elizabeth grew up at Dalton First UMC, where her parents are still members. She and Jonathan, her husband of 29 years, have two children: Owen and Lora.
Lori Tucker joined the Georgia United Methodist Foundation's staff in March 2017. As loan administrator, she serves as the day-to-day contact for our loan clients by managing loan applications, loan documentation, and account servicing.
Prior to joining our staff, she served as staff accountant at Premier Exhibitions. Her skill sets include 25 years of customer service experience with an expertise in problem-solving and managing daily office functions. Lori also has extensive experience working with and managing groups of volunteers in school and ministry settings. She holds a bachelor's degree in business from Arizona State University.
Lori and her husband, Mark, are the proud parents of two daughters and two sons. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her family, teaching Bible Study, and serving as a volunteer at Simpsonwood UMC in Peachtree Corners.
