Janice Laurenson

Janice is our Office Manager and works closely with both you, as the client and our trainers to ensure the training meets your needs. Janice manages our administration, liaises with clients, ensuring that everything is organised and coordinated for the training. Janice completed a WREMO Civil Defence course in 2013 and has completed CIMS 2/3 and CIMS 4 to unit standard level. Janice is a keen tennis player and in 2012 was recognised by Tennis Central and Tennis New Zealand as Volunteer of the Year.

Linda Blum

Linda has 25 years of experience in designing, developing and delivering training. She set up her own training and development consultancy in 1985. Linda works with the team in an advisory role. She is currently the Director of Achieve Group. Linda is particularly skilled in facilitation, coaching as well as leadership, management and team development. Her particular passion is developing integrated long-term programmes which fast-track the development of individuals and teams. Linda has consulted in more than 50 organisations in the public and private sectors, including the newspaper and dairy industries, local government, a range of social and health agencies and the justice sector. She is also a Past President of the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Association for Training and Development. Recent assignments have included designing career development and coaching programmes, redesigning an emerging leaders programme for a large government department and writing a leadership and management competency development resource book She has been a project manager and a facilitator for a suite of programmes for case managers. email.

Paul Blum

Paul is a Director and principal consultant of Devereux-Blum Training and Development Limited. Paul, nationally recognised as an expert in Emergency Management is skilled in consultancy, training, facilitation and coaching. His strengths focus around organisational development within Emergency Management. Paul works nationally, facilitating the development of strategies for managing emergencies and is skilled at improving performance at all levels of organisations. His specialist knowledge of the Emergency Management sector, training skills and his natural ability to work with people get results. Paul's qualifications include: a Diploma in Teaching, Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) General Rescue Trainer certification, Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Awareness Trainer certification, Pre Hospital Emergency Care qualified, NZ Resuscitation Council Instructor (Level 2) qualified, a USAR "Orange Card" holder, Site Safe certificate and Sea Diving certification. Sharyn Devereux-Blum

Sharyn is a Director and principal consultant of the company. Sharyn, a nationally recognised expert in Emergency Management is an experienced facilitator, trainer, teacher, consultant and coach who has a real passion for working with people of all ages. Life-long learning is one of her core beliefs and Emergency Management is an area of focus Sharyn finds very rewarding. She trains and consults nationally within organisations and is widely recognised for her ability to facilitate groups. Sharyn has both recognised teaching and rescue qualifications that she utilises fully in her work. She works with all levels of management and welcomes the opportunity to create a culture within organisations around ‘how we manage emergencies in our organisation'. Sharyn holds a Master of Education degree, Diploma of Teaching, Advanced Diploma of Teaching, Diploma of Teacher Librarianship and a Diploma in Facilitation. Sharyn is certified as both a (USAR) General Rescue Trainer, and (USAR) Awareness Trainer, is Pre Hospital Emergency Care qualified, has a Site Safe certificate and has her USAR "Orange Card".
