James has nearly 25 years experience installing windows and doors. He joined the Desert King Team in 2016 and has quickly rose through the ranks because of his constant commitment to making every install as perfect as possible. That commitment and unwavering outlook of quality craftsmanship has put him in charge of the most important part of Desert King Windows; Installation!

Jayson Shortt, Ron's son and partner, joined Desert King years earlier as a salesman working along side his Dad.
Now, as Vice President and the Registrar Of Contractors License holder for both residential and commercial, Jayson plays a key role in new sales development and as Sales Manager. Since Desert King Windows started 25 years ago, over 20,000 homes have been updated with energy efficient windows and doors!
Johnny started working on the crews as a helper right out of high school. Over the past few years, he has proven to be an asset to our team with his incredible work ethic and ability to make customers happy. He has led the service department and now is the Arizona Project Manager overseeing all of the installs in Arizona!
Josh joined our team in 2014 installing for our Tucson branch. As our Las Vegas branch grew so quickly, and Josh being our top foreman, he decided to pack up his life and move there for his next challenge, to head up all installation for Southern Nevada! Josh uses his 25 years of window and door experience to direct our Vegas crews and oversee all installations in Nevada.
Mikel is one of the most loved team members in the company. He has worked on install crews and as a service technician over the last few years. He always has a smile and an upbeat attitude that is contagious. He takes pride in being the hero when something goes wrong. This makes Mikel the perfect person to be the head of the service and warranty department.
Shortly after opening in Phoenix, Bill met Ron Shortt, His account rep for the Arizona Republic/ Phoenix Gazette. Soon a great friendship developed and Ron left his job of 12 years and joined Bill's sales team at Desert King. For the next 9 years, Ron worked close to Bill, long hours and travel, as he worked his way up to be Bill's right hand man. Later he became Vice President of Sales.
Then it became time, once again, for Bill to retire (with a little push from Susan). Bill sold the Arizona markets to Ron in April 2013.
