Anastasis Stamatis

Anastasis advises ad-hoc and pro-bono CommonLawgic Sustainability research Center. He is a Data Scientist focusing on using Data to understand human behavior and applying Data Science for social good. He is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Dataphoria the first data-for-good impact startup in Greece, creating an Analytics-as-a-Service platform for enterprises to track, accelerate & communicate their sustainability transition with ESG metrics. He is also EU Pact Ambassador and CTO of Earthmark. He began his career as a Civil Engineer, graduating from the National Technical University of Athens followed by an MSc from University of Surrey. During his time in the UK he worked as an Engineer on complex infrastructure projects and he chaired Progress Network Midlands, the local Young Professionals committee of the Midlands Region. He has been extensively involved in environmental campaigns on a national (i.e. www.letsdoitgreece.org) and global level, representing Greece at the "World Clean Up Day" among 140 countries. He is a Shaper of the Global Shapers Athens Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, undertaking environmental and climate change actions. His also a member of Omdena, a global community on Data Scientists building AI solutions for real-world problems.

Dr. George Gougoulidis

Dr. Gougoulidis George

Dr. George Gougoulidis is an experienced Naval Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the shipbuilding and shiprepair industry, as well as on board ships. He has served in various managerial and technical positions throughout his career. He has a strong academic background with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as a Naval Engineer's Degree, and an MSc in Ocean Systems Management from the same university. Currently, he is an appointed Educational Counselor for MIT in Greece. He was also formerly the president of the MIT International Shipping Club. Dr. Gougoulidis has published several papers in scientific journals as well as in conference proceedings, both in English and in Greek. He has been teaching naval architecture related courses for the last 7 years. Dr. Gougoulidis is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Global Maritime Studies - Greek Chapter, as well as a member of the advisory board of CommonLawgic.

Dr. Grigorios L. Kyriakopoulos

Dr. Dr. Grigorios L. Kyriakopoulos (PhD in Chemical Engineering, PhD in Low Carbon Economy) is Teaching and Research Associate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA. He has accomplished a solid education background by completing 20 academic qualifications in the fields of: Chemical Engineering; Business and Management; Energy; Environmental Studies; Hellenic Culture; Education; Human Resource Management; Psychology. He serves as editorial member at 30 journals, reviewer at more than 380 international scientific journals, and technical committee member at more than 30 international scientific conferences. Grigorios is (co)author of 100 papers and the research fields of his specialization are that of: Engineering, Environment, Energy, Renewable Energy Sources, Waste Management, Circular Economy, Business Administration, Education, Culture, Extroversion/Internationalization of SMEs, Development Economics, and Behavioral Ecology.

Elena Nikolaou

Elena holds a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from NTUA and a Master's Degree in Production and Management of Energy. She has more than 10 years' experience in Environment, Health and Safety Projects. Since 2009 she is involved in more than 20 projects of Eco-efficiency Consulting and Engineering Ltd., related to regulatory issues regarding waste classification, hazard characterization, exposure estimation to human health and environment, chemicals risk assessment and occupational health and safety in the industrial sector. As an Eco-efficiency employee, she participated in projects for the SEV- Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, ECGA, Euromines, Nickel Institute and for clients as Aluminium of Greece, Hellenic Gold, TITAN cement, ELVAL aluminum recycling, Hellenic Petroleum. She has a wide range of industrial experience on industrial wastes, by-products and industrial products classification. Her native language is Greek and she has C2 level in English and B2 level in German. She specializes in three main areas: Health and Safety (Occupational Exposure Limits evaluation, Guidelines, Personnel Protective Equipment, Best practices for Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems according to international Standards). REACH and CLP supporting services: advisory/troubleshooting role of issues to manufacturers and importers inside and outside of EU. Responsible for technical dossier preparation and submission for REACH registration dossiers for Lead Registrants and Joint Submission. 3. Technical and Scientific support on Environment especially troubleshooting to issues related to wastes and emission management (prevention research, sampling, classification via waste catalogue, hazardous effects, transportation, green procurements).

Lilian Mitrou

Lilian Mitrou is Professor at the University of the Aegean, Greece (Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering) and Visiting Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business and the University of Piraeus (Postgraduate Studies Programs). She teaches information law and data protection law. L. Mitrou holds a PhD in Data Protection (University of Frankfurt-Germany). She was Member of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1999-2003). Since November 2016 she is member of the Greek National Council for Radio and Television (NCRTV). She was member of many Committees working on law proposals in the fields of privacy and data protection, communications law, e-government etc. During the Greek Presidency of the Council of EU (2014) she has served as Chair of DAPIX (Working Group on Information Exchange and Data Protection) and from June 2016 till February 2018 she was Chair of the Draft Committee on the adaptation of Greek law to the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679/EU) and the Data Protection Directive (2016/680/EU). Her professional experience includes senior consulting and researcher positions in a number of private and public institutions and projects on national and international level. She was general manager of the office of the former Prime Minister K. Simitis (1996-2004). L. Mitrou published books, chapters in books and many journal and conference papers (in English, German and Greek).

Maltezou Danai

Danai has been working in the maritime sector since 2016 and in parallel on research projects of CommonLawgic, supporting the administrative and dissemination activities. She is currently Officer at HSQE and HR Officer at Operations Dpt., of HELLENIC STAR Shipping Company S.A.. based in Marousi, Greece. She has efficiently organized meetings as supporting staff, handling communications with participants and stakeholders, disseminating information via appropriate channels etc. Danai worked as Chartering & Post Fixture Manager at ALEXMAR Shipping and Trading Co. S.A (2017- 2020) and at the Crew Dpt., of BLUE LINE Ship Management S.A. (2016). She has experience in project monitoring and has also participated in project results dissemination for the nationwide environmental campaign www.letsdoitgreece.org (since 2012). Danai is a Chartered Shipbroker MICS (Member ICS Chartered Shipbrokers) and holds a Certificate on ESG in Shipping from the Lloyd's Maritime Academy. She studied Shipping Management in Athens and Southampton and Business Marketing at Deree Athens College. She attended several conferences and seminars on ISM, ISO 9001 & SHQE Internal auditing.

Truli Emmanuella

Dr. Emmanuela Truli is attorney at Law admitted to the Athens and New York Bars. She is Assistant Professor at the Athens University for Economics and Business, where she teaches civil, competition and new technology companies' law. At the same time, she is a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR). Until December 2013, when she was Commissioner-Rapporteur of the Hellenic Competition Commission, she handled numerous cases in major product and services sectors of the Greek economy. Previous to that, she worked in major law firms based in Munich and Athens. She holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, New York, and a Ph.D. from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She has published her doctoral thesis in Germany and academic papers in Greek, German, UK and US journals. Her areas of expertise include civil, competition, commercial and corporate law. She speaks English, German, French and Spanish.
