Francois Swart

Francois is currently the CEO of Atlantic Beach. He has completed a number of qualifications including a hotel management diploma, business management diploma, financial management diploma and recently his CCM and CHA through CMASA. CMASA has enabled him to grow over the years, through both education and experience. He believes that he has learnt a great deal from CMASA and believe that he will be able to give back to the industry by helping with the various challenges the industry faces. He is also currently mentoring students who are all completing their MID qualifications. He believes that his experience and expertise will be valuable to CMASA and the industry.

Paul Stoner

Job Titles:

Paul's journey in the club industry began 13 years ago when he spent a season in Florida working as a starter/marshal at Boca West Country Club. Since then, he has worked at Steenberg Golf Club and Clovelly Country Club in various roles from Proshop assistant to Golf Manager, and most recently as the General Manager at Clovelly Country Club in Cape Town. He has held this post since October 2019, leading the Club through unchartered waters as the COVID pandemic severely impacted the club industry from March 2020. During this time Paul has shown a passion for continuous learning and has completed a B Comm and Hons B Comm through UNISA, before embarking on his journey through CMAA towards his CCM certification. Having completed his MID and four pre-requisite BMIs Paul is now eligible to sit the CCM examination. With CMASA's new strategy focused on re-shaping the club industry through education it is this passion for continuous learning that Paul believes will make him an asset to the executive committee of CMASA, and will aid the association in driving this strategy, and the industry, forward.

Pierre van Vuuren

My name is Pierre van Vuuren the General Manager at San Lameer Country Club. I worked my way through the ranks in the industry at Clubs like, Serengeti Golf Club, De Zalze Golf Club and Zwartkop Country Club. I also spent time in the marketing sector with RetailTribe and 3 years working at Private Clubs in Florida. Although I have gained a lot of experience, I believe that education is key to my personal growth and to the growth of my staff. The education programme form CMASA is the perfect opportunity to upskill my staff and to add to my personal growth. Sharing my knowledge with others and contributing to the industry is something I am passionate about. I believe that my innovative thinking allows myself, and my club evolve and keep up with the times.

Robby Richardson

Robby is a highly motivated self-starter and goal-orientated decision-maker with good leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. He enjoys putting strategies in place with his peers as well as his team and is able to motivate staff, enjoy challenging opportunities and operate well under pressure. Robby values honesty and loyalty and has been known to always operate his business with integrity. His skills include financial planning, sales and technical maintenance to administration, human resources and computer skills. Robby has a good working knowledge of South African labour law and union negotiation.

Sandra Lennox

My 22 years' experience in this environment, on all levels; can be of benefit to the organisation and the committee. I also serve on the committee of the Garden Route Turf and Managers Association whose members are a combination of greenkeepers, club managers and golf directors as well as served on the executive committee of the Southern Cape Golf Union for a number of years. My goal has always been continuous learning and to take every opportunity to grow my knowledge in all spheres of my work environment. I truly believe that I have and continue to make a positive contribution, not only at the George Golf Club, but in the golf industry. My passion for club management is the driving force that encourage me to continue to grow from strength to strength.

My career in the club industry began in the financial field. I have been in a senior position in golf clubs and estates for over 22 years and have been privileged to have previously served on the CMASA executive.

Vivian van Wyk

My journey in the golf industry began in 1997 when I joined the Southern Africa PGA Tour also known as the Sunshine Tour. In 2007 I joined Stellenbosch Golf Club as the General Manager. In 2015, after 8 years down in the winelands, I was appointed General Manager of Pretoria Country Club, a position I hold to this day. The diversity and club activities of PCC challenges a range of skill sets, especially social relationship management and strategic planning.
