WATER RESTORATIONS - Key Persons
Lisa "grew up" in the world of insurance with many of her family members having built their careers in the industry. Her father, Paul, worked in underwriting his entire life retiring in 2004 as VP of Product Management. It was not uncommon to discuss "loss ratios" at the dinner table.
Lisa graduated with distinction from Pennsylvania State University with a BS degree in Accounting. After working several years in her field, in 2000, Lisa and Ted, combined their talents and expertise to found Berks · Fire · Water Restorations, Inc.℠ Lisa also has a passion for serving her community - She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and the Reading Public Museum and the Reading - Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center Executive Committee. She has formerly served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA and the National Association of Insurance Women.
Together Ted and Lisa Lavender are both Master Fire Smoke & Odor Restorers, Master Textile Restorers, and Master Water Restorers with the IICRC. They share various passions, one being, giving back to the community. They serve on various Boards and have given service to many organizations over the years including: Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, Olivet's Boys & Girls Club, The Reading Public Museum, Alvernia University, The Vision Resource Center, Volunteer Fire Departments and First Responders and many other local organizations.
In 2012, Ted and Lisa expanded their passion for the Restoration Industry and utilized their expertise to open the Restoration Technical Institute. Restoration Technical Institute's mission is to provide Knowledge, Passion & Inspiration to Restoration and Insurance Professionals from all over the country.
During a 10 year career in claims, he moved from claims adjuster to claims manager. From his experiences, Ted identified a need in Berks County for a full-service restoration company. He saw the opportunity to provide for the handling of an insurance-related loss from beginning to end and have a totally satisfied property owner at the completion of the insurance claim cycle. Ted has a passion for serving his community - He currently is working with the Olivet's Boys & Girls Club and Vision Research Center as an Advisory Board Member. He has formerly served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Catholic Youth Organization. He is generous with his time, talents, in supporting organizations, people, and causes that make our communities strong.
