Basic Aircraft Products, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Ron Cox, a successful aerospace engineer for Bendix/Honeywell. In 1991 he retired early to focus on developing and perfecting the TurboAlternator which stands today as the worlds only certified ram air turbine (RAT) for general aviation aircraft. Over the 30+ years of operation, Basic Aircraft Products has delivered over 1,200 TurboAlternators to customers all over the world... We are a familly-owned and operated business, focused on building relationships through a love of general aviation and the freedom found in exploring the skies... A wind driven standby alternator for general aviation aircraft.
