AGTER

AGTER is an international non-profit association (under French law), created in March 2005 by a group of people of different origins. These founders had taken part in projects or exchanges between actors in civil society organizations, both of which were related to issues of access to natural resources and land. They wanted to clarify the relationships between poverty, underdevelopment and access to resources, in order to set up lasting alternatives to the current policies... AGTER aims at contributing to the improvement of land, water and natural resource governance, and at conceiving new ways of managing these resources - ways that are better adapted to face the challenges of the twenty-first century... AGTER promotes a continuous process of reflection and learning in order to help civil society members and other actors concerned to be informed, to create and implement proposals that address challenges in natural resource management.
