Andrew graduated in 1988 from the University of Sheffield Dental School and initially worked at hospitals in and around Sheffield and Cardiff where he gained a wealth of experience in oral surgery and a lasting interest in orthodontics. He joined the practice in 1992 and shortly afterwards became co-principle.
Whilst at the practice, Andrew has been a vocational trainer and mentor for newly qualified dentists in their first year of dental practice. He also works at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital as a clinical tutor supervising dental students at Sheffield University. He enjoys and practices all aspects of general dentistry at Diamond Court.
Andrew lives in Sheffield with his wife, who is a doctor, and his two daughters. He enjoys being outdoors with his spaniel, and when he can riding his mountain bike but is considering moving electric soon! Andrew plays racket ball with lots of enthusiasm, to keep fit.

Catherine joined Diamond Court Dental Practice in 2015 and has quickly become a popular member of our dental team. Since qualifying in 2004 from Sheffield University, Catherine has lived and worked in the local area and has successfully completed a postgraduate year long course in Advanced Restorative Dentistry.
When not at work, Catherine is kept busy raising two small children and also enjoys running and keeping fit.

Jamie has been at the practice since graduating in 2003 and during his time has an undergraduate he received an award for his skills in Restorative Dentistry. He has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, especially tooth whitening and veneers.
Outside of work his hobbies include rugby, fishing, going to the cinema and, after previously living in Germany and USA, he also enjoys travelling.
In 2007, Jamie became practice co-principle.

Joanne qualified at Sheffield in 1997 where she received a prize for excellence in restorative dentistry. She worked in Bakewell for 7 years, then Ashbourne and Belper before returning to Diamond Court in 2008.
Shortly after qualifying, Joanne completed the "straight-forward straight-wire" course in orthodontics. She has also worked part-time in a hospital dental department. She regularly attends dental courses and has an interest in minimally invasive techniques and prevention of tooth decay and gum disease.
Joanne is married to a dentist and has 3 daughters. She has a dog, several cats and a horse which keep her busy! Her hobbies include painting, cooking, walking and she recently completed a leadership in running fitness qualification.

Kerry Hand initially qualified as a dental nurse in 1992 and has since obtained several post-graduate qualifications, including Level 3 BTEC Advanced Diplomas in both Dental Reception and Dental Care Co-ordination. Kerry has a wealth of experience in dentistry and, in 2011, took up a new position at the practice as Patient Care Co-ordinator.
Kerry's main role as Patient Care Co-ordinator is to liaise with patients to provide a high level of customer service. Appointments will be available with Kerry to give patients the opportunity to discuss treatment options and answer any questions they may have about their own individual treatment plans - please ask reception for further details.

Nicholas joined Diamond Court Practice in 2024.
He qualified as a dentist from Bart's and The Royal London Hospital with Honours in 2011. After graduating, Nicholas gained extensive experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery working in a number of major London Hospitals. During this period he completed a degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Hospitals (King's College London) in 2018. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Nicholas provides general dentistry but has clinical interests in Endodontics (root canal treatment), microsurgery (treatment using a dental microscope) and the diagnosis and management of orofacial pain.
Outside of work Nicholas enjoys spending time with his wife and has an interest in farming and countryside pursuits. He is a keen sportsman and an active member of his local church.

Paul trained at the University of Sheffield where he passed his undergraduate dental degree with Honours and was awarded the Edward Swindell prize for General Dentistry. He recently completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree with distinction in Restorative Dental Practice at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. This has enabled him to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all aspects of restorative dentistry, including minimal intervention dentistry, endodontics, and crowns and bridges. He received many accolades for his dissertation on removable partial denture design.

Sarah qualified as a dental nurse in 1985 and has been a valuable member of our dental team since joining the practice in 2005. Sarah is one our Senior Dental Nurses and is also our Dental Health Educator and runs our Preventative Dental Unit where young children are taught the importance of oral hygiene and diet. This forms a key element in our aim of preventing tooth decay and oral disease and reducing the need for invasive dental treatment.
Sarah regularly attends courses to enhance her professional development and is qualified to carry out fluoride treatment and to take dental impressions.
When Sarah isn't at work, she can often be found helping her husband on their farm. Her other hobbies include baking, sewing, gardening, and walking.

Tara joined the practice in 2002 as a trainee dental nurse. She then progressed to be the Assistant Practice Manager and obtained a Diploma in Dental Practice Management at distinction level in 2011.
Having worked in dentistry for 15 years Tara has a vast knowledge of the general dentistry, she is now responsible for the day to day running of the practice along side Anne Askew.
Tara is married with one child, her hobbies include walking her two dogs and swimming.
