THE GATE HOUSE

The Gate House is a privately run guest house, adjacent to The Forest Gate Inn. It is situated on the edge of Epping Forest on Bell Common, just over ½ mile to Epping town centre and 1 mile from Epping Station [40 minutes to central London]. It is ideally situated for walkers with facilities to dry wet gear, and well centred for visiting Cambridge, Audley End and other places of interest. The house is totally No Smoking as well as having a full fire alarm system in place... The gate house is now closed as a guest house and will be re-opening in January 2021. It will be going live on the air bnb site in September. Wr will also have a small apartment which will be available from September. The landline is no longer available but the mobile number is 07545 251366... As well as a breakfast room there is a sitting room for the use of guests, with books, board games and information on the area.
