Daily Bread is an Independent Workers Co-operative with 36 years of selling wholefoods. Based in Northampton we have strong Social Objectives which define how we run our business from our suppliers and customers to our staff members... Daily Bread originated from a Church Group at St. Peters Church, Weston Favell, Northampton. The founders of the co-operative wished to develop a business that reflected their beliefs. The store opened in October 1980. We continue to try and live up to those original ideals... We aim to give a portion of our monetary surplus to local community groups and developing country's each year, this amount is linked to our turnover/profit and thereby based on the success of Daily Bread.
