Anne Sutton

Anne moved to Surrey in 2012 and has a wide and rich professional background that has included Director of Nursing and Family Services as well as Director (care services) for North and East Hampshire Primary Care Trust. Anne has held a number of consultancy positions within the NHS and private sector and well as in recent times re-trained to become a Health Visitor. Anne has an MA in Management, Learning and Leadership and has been a Samaritan Listening Volunteer. She was delighted to accept the offer of trusteeship in 2016. Anne's NHS senior management experience, strategic problem solving skills and experience in the design of services and experience as a volunteer herself make a fantastic fit for The Brigitte Trust.

Claire Foard

Claire joined the Brigitte Trust as a volunteer in 2017, and then as a member of staff in 2021. At the beginning of her career, she worked in marketing for a Multi-National Japanese Electronics Company. Since then, Claire has worked for 20 years in a small family run logistics company; specialising in the reverse logistics of warranty parts for a premium car manufacturer. In 2017, she decided on a complete career change and trained to become a Humanistic Counsellor. She lives in Surrey and has two grown-up daughters and a black Labradoodle called Teddy.

David Farmery

David is the Charity's Treasurer and has been a Trustee since 2007. David trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG and worked for the firm in a variety of roles in London and in Paris - specialising in auditing of financial services. In 2000 he qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Corporate Treasurers. In 2004 David left banking and established his own IT business and in 2005 David also became a director of a specialist city based software company, where he is Chief Operating Officer. David is married and lives in Dorking.

Jan Way MBE

Jan has been a social worker since 1975, working in a range of settings from hospitals and charities including the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Since 1990 she has worked in adoption, specialising in intercountry adoption and working as a senior executive for a national adoption agency and charity. In 2019 she was awarded an MBE for her adoption work. Jan has experience of working within the charity sector and of managing and growing a charity in a challenging climate and hopes that this perspective and that of working in the caring profession are key skills that she brings to the role of the Trustee. She feels strongly about contributing to the community and has in the past been a chair of governors within a school. She has lived in Westcott, Dorking since 1990 with her husband and has three children - now adults - and two grandchildren.

Lesley Potter

Lesley is a senior communications and marketing professional with 30 years' experience in PLC/corporate, business to business and charitable organisations, with extensive knowledge of the strategic delivery of multi-channel communications, often working at board level. She ran the UK communications department at Compass Group PLC for a decade, has managed her own PR and marketing consultancy business since 2007 (specialising in the visitor economy and legal services sectors), and was a non-executive director at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust for five years with a focus on internal audit, communications and customer service.

Lucy Beach

Lucy joined The Brigitte Trust in May 2019. She has worked in the health service and social care since the early 90's including 3 years at Macmillan Cancer Support. She has a wealth of experience in commissioning, service development, transformation and partnership working. She has worked in a range of services including learning disability, mental health, community health, older people, cancer, and continuing health care. Outside of work Lucy plays croquet, learns Spanish and enjoys holidaying in her VW campervan called Bluebell.

Mandy East

Mandy has worked in the charity sector since early 2000 where she has held a number of roles including campaigning, policy writing, lobbying and fundraising but her main focus has always been facilitating groups; delivering high quality training and managing volunteers. Joining the Brigitte Trust in 2017, Mandy looks after the dedicated team of volunteers and leads the training and workshop programmes to ensure the high standards the Brigitte Trust is known for. Mandy has two grown up children and a border terrier, and spends a lot of time walking and enjoying the outdoors.

Mary Guypinkney

Mary joined The Brigitte Trust as a Volunteer in 2019 and has found the experience both humbling and rewarding and joined the Board in June 2020. She has had a broad ranging professional career. 20 years were spent in TV broadcasting, 15 of which was as a Transmission Controller at Channel 4. Then, after having 2 children, she retrained as a complementary therapist and worked in private practice, as well as offering alternative medicine to local communities through the government ‘Sure Start' Scheme. She was also involved in a pilot project holding clinics for temporary residents at 4 locations run by the charity, St. Mungo's. Currently she is a manager in a medium sized private company which manufactures a range of health care products at two sites. She moved to out of London in 2005, and lives in Oxted with her husband.

Peter Lagerberg

Peter previously worked for over 25 years in Financial Services in a variety of senior management roles working in a Regulatory, Legal and Governance capacity. In the past he worked for Partnership Assurance, which was a local company that provided annuity products at enhanced rates for people with health conditions, as both Head of Compliance and Company Secretary. Peter has a Law degree, has passed the Bar Finals exams and is a qualified Company Secretary. Peter is now doing a PhD in Psychology looking at new treatment options for Depression.

Rachel Milton

Rachel is the newest member of the team. She previously worked in hospitality, but has always had an interest in design and marketing. She studied Art and Photography, with a keen eye for detail and a creative streak. In her spare time, she likes slow walks accompanied by her dog and a coffee, making jewellery, and working her way through a long list of films and TV.

Sarah Pattenden

Our Service Co-ordinator carries a dedicated Brigitte Trust mobile. If you leave a message, your call will be returned as soon as possible. Sarah has a background in investment banking where she was vice president in emerging markets for Merrill Lynch. She was a Samaritan in her spare time, and decided in 2010 to join The Brigitte Trust as a visiting volunteer. In 2012, Sarah took on the role as Service Co-ordinator and discovered parts of Surrey that she never knew existed! She has two adult children and three giant dogs, of which St Bernard "Winter" is a Pets as Therapy dog visiting clients.

Tanya Stafford

Tanya has worked in the Charity sector for over 18 years, supporting older people and promoting their independence in the East Surrey area. Part of her role was to develop more services in other parts of Surrey. Tanya loves to holiday in the USA, especially going on road trips through the States with her hubby. She also enjoys time with her family and her grandchildren.
