Jenny Heron is the Director of Physiofit Leeds which she founded in 2000. Qualified for over 17 years, Jenny has wide experience as a physiotherapist including working full time with professional rugby teams, working with injured police officers, and her time in private practice treating musculoskeletal conditions.
With her background in sports physiotherapy and her personal interest in running and cycling, Jenny specialises in the treatment of sports injuries. She combines hands on physiotherapy techniques with Pilates based core stability work and education to enable the patient to take control of their condition. Jenny offers biomechanical assessments of walking, running and cycling to provide detailed video analysis of movement and identify any faults that might contribute to injury. This approach also works well for those with more chronic conditions including neck, back and pelvic pain as well as work related injuries, where analysis of work posture and movement can improve outcomes.
Jenny attained a Post Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy for Women's Health at Bradford University in 2011, and alongside her training with The Pelvic Partnership in 2005, this enabled her to offer Women's Health physiotherapy. This includes treatment for pelvic girdle pain (PGP, also known as SPD), diastasis rectus and for pelvic floor problems in women such as stress incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.
Jenny also leads the team of Pilates Instructors at Physiofit Leeds, team as well as teaching classes herself. She runs her own workshops and Pilates training courses and also works for Modern Pilates as a tutor and course developer.
In any spare time she has Jenny enjoys walking, running, mountain biking and road cycling.
What people have said about Jenny...
I sustained a grade one tear of my quadriceps playing Walking Football. I was both in pain and very dispirited having injured myself doing something that was designed to be safe for someone of my age. Jenny gave me a series of exercises to do. Doing the exercises regularly, combined with Jenny's explanations and encouragement mean that I am back playing Walking Football and feeling generally more mobile . I am very pleased. Thank you very much to Jenny and Physiofit.
Jenny has been delivering Pilates teacher training for over 20 years. She qualified as a physiotherapist in 1996 and quickly developed an interest in rehabilitation exercise. She trained in Pilates in 2000 and has taught 1000's of classes since! Jenny has a passion for education and completed an adult education qualification in 2004. She is skilled at making the theory engaging and understandable, and her practical sessions provide exercise ideas that will have instructors itching to get back to their classes to try them out.

Suzie Kirkpatrick qualified as a physiotherapist in 2006 and has spent the past 18 years working in private practice, where she has developed a vast expertise in various areas of rehabilitation. Suzie is experienced in treating MSK disorders and uses her knowledge and experience of strength training to functionally rehabilitate patients. After completing a specialized course in vestibular disorders, Suzie is highly experienced in treating patients with vestibular conditions, helping them manage dizziness and balance issues. In addition to her vestibular work and MSK work, she is skilled in out-patient respiratory physiotherapy and post-breast surgery rehabilitation, providing comprehensive care that enhances her patients' recovery and quality of life.
Suzie is trained to offer treatment in these specialist areas:
Dizziness, vertigo and balance problems using Vestibular Rehabilitation for these conditions including BPPV, labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis.
Respiratory Physiotherapy offering treatment for various pathologies including bronchiectasis, asthma and hyperventilation syndrome (HVS).
Breast Surgery Rehabilitation offering treatment for women post breast cancer surgery, using manual therapy and exercise prescription to improve arm and shoulder function.
What people have said about Suzie...
Following an ear infection, I was left with dreadful dizziness which affected every part of my life for 3 months and was losing hope that I would ever get back to normal. Seeing Suzie changed everything. Her knowledge of BPPV is extensive and she explained the condition so well that I had complete confidence in the manoeuvres she performed and understood the reasons why the exercises I was doing were unlikely to help. Leaving the appointment, I felt much better, and within 3 days felt back to normal and able to enjoy a glass of wine and get out of bed without feeling the room was tipping upside down. I still can't quite believe I am cured and am immensely grateful to Suzie. - Oct 2024
Suzie Kirkpatrick saw me yesterday for vertigo treatment and once again she "cured" my vertigo (BPPV). I even managed to get through the Pilates exercises I do at home, this morning, which I haven't been able to do for nearly 3 weeks now. I would highly recommend Suzie for any vestibular problems. She is so knowledgeable and explains very clearly what the problem is and the treatment she undertakes with you. It is such a relief not to suffer any more dizziness and I am so grateful to Suzie for sorting me out again. I realise vertigo can recur at any time but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to see Suzie if it does. Thank you so much Suzie.
I just had to follow up after my appointment with a big thank you. Your knowledge about vertigo shone through during my appointment, explaining everything so clearly and being so thorough. I was very grateful for the information you gave me to care for myself should the vertigo reappear at some point. - June 2024
Qualified as a physio since 2006, Suzie also has more than a decade of experience of Pilates teaching. She developed the Dizziness and Balance clinic at Physiofit in 2018 after completing training in Vestibular Rehabilitation, a treatment for vertigo, dizziness, BPPV and balance issues. This knowledge lead to her incorporating many new and innovative balance challenges into her Pilates classes. She developed a workshop to share these ideas with colleagues and has been presenting since 2019.
