APICS (Association of Professional Independent Chimney Sweeps) was formed in 2002 with the aim of providing a democratic association which listens to members but which also allows them to remain independent. To ensure that members were the very best, we set rigorous standards both for sweeping and customer service. Our goal was, and still is, to be a friendly organisation, supporting good standards of sweeping and helping sweeps to be the best they can be... APICS is a friendly organisation, recognising that chimney sweeps are independent and should be allowed to get on with their daily work without interference... APICS is a friendly organisation offering training, guidance support to its members as well as helping customers find a local chimney sweep
