When a back injury ended 19 years service in the police, physical therapists advised Sean Adams that plenty of golf would provide the greatest possible relief (no, honestly!). Sean valued the opinions of the health professionals so much that he subsequently qualified as a golf coach. However, when his wife, English-teacher Jill, realised how closely his busy periods coincided with her school holidays, Sean was ‘advised' to re-train as a teacher. After qualifying in History and Professional Education at Stirling University, he now feels it was the best decision he (and she) has ever made.
Outside the classroom, Sean can normally be found on the golf course, watching virtually any sport on television, or writing short stories and working (very slowly) on his debut novel. He also fancies himself as something of a karaoke star and once or twice a year - if you're really fortunate - you might just catch him belting out some Elvis Presley or Elton John hits!
